All three eaglets are hunkered down together on the nest when severe weather and high winds moves in taking the eaglets and nest with it. Later Mom and Dad both arrive to the tree with fish only to find the babies and nest gone. Our hearts are with them and everyone affected by severe weather today. Update on the condition of the eaglets SOAR has taken all three eaglets into care for the night as they did appear to show signs of shock. We will keep storming the heavens that they all survive.
Good news Denton Homes were on the scene quickly and all three eaglets were found alive. Specialists from Saving Our Avian Resources (S.O.A.R.) are currently assessing the eaglets. We continue to keep Mom, Dad, eaglets and everyone affected by these storms in our heart, thoughts and prayers. Remarkably a team is on the ground already building a temporary nest structure to replace the nest that was lost in the storm, how incredible is that. Amazing team effort by so many, heartfelt thanks to you all!!!
