King just debuted a month ago and shook the kpop industry with his high quality debut everyone’s whipped for him

For the first song Hello Stranger they’re using a fog projection / vapor screen! You can see the top and on the floor where the fog is coming out of which creates kind of a curtain in the air and the water particles are illuminated by a projector. If you pay attention to the outfit KAI is wearing in his projected self you’ll notice it’s the same one as Ride or Die and the Stranger he’s referring/talking to is his old or future self 😃 So the theory is that the End=Beginning and he’s not just teleporting through different places but also through time with the different settings and eras of fashion. He has a video where he reacts and explains the film and it was his own idea to use a fog projection and also his idea to do kind of a short film/visual album. So much thought, work and detail went into this that we might not even know of but he truly deserves more recognition for just that alone... 🥰

That's why his solo mini album just realease after 8 years debuted with EXO, because he wanted to be ready, he wanted to be perfectly present his craft for EXO-L. I think he spend half of his life practising (singing and dancing) and performing. He become what he is now is because of that process, like a charcoal into a perfect diamond...that what he is. From the beginning he already known as a dancing machine, so it's obvious he can dance like that...MJ is his inspiration, his basic dancing is ballet when he's young before he become a trainee in SM.. You guys are lucky that Kai's favorite singing genre is RnB. He looks up to his bandmate, D.O., who's pretty much the most soulful voice for RnB in EXO. NCT have done mini MVs for the tracks for their Neo Zone album, for instance, but they're all separate. Afaik, Kai is the first K-pop artist to do this for an album.

Yeah, Kai's "Film: Kai,", as you discovered, is a sort of teaser/sample of all the songs on Kai's solo debut album which is named Kai. It's similar to Taemin's "Press it Medley" video where he showcased a snippet of every song on his Press It album. EXO debuted in 2012, so Kai has been around for more than 8 year and he was a trainee for almost 6 years prior to that, starting at around age 12. Kai is considered one of the top two BEST dancers in the entire industry and that isn't just a fan's opinion, but it's a title given to him by his peers and the industry as a whole. (Taemin from SHINee -- who happens to be Kai's best friend, who is also under SM Entertainment and is a member of SuperM -- is the other top dancer.) There is no one in the industry better then Kai and Taemin when it comes to dancers. Kai started out as a ballet dancer, so his foundation in dance is ballet, but he has studied almost every style of dance. He lives to dance, so that is why his dancing is so perfect and why he is so passionate. He has been preparing for his solo debut for more than a year and it was all while promoting with EXO and SuperM. So that's how dedicated he is to his craft. Also, Kai means opening, as in a door or gateway, so as a member of EXO, Kim Jongin (Kai) was given the stage name Kai because, as the center of the group, he is supposed to be the member who connects everyone together and that is why he was given the ability to teleport. Plus, as part of EXO's storyline, it is thought that the members are traveling between dimensions and time periods throughout history in their quest to find the Tree of Life and to fix all the evil and corruption that is thought to be caused by the Red Force. So, it is thought that what you see in this video is Kai traveling between dimensions and across time periods in his search for the other members and the Tree of Life, etc. That is why you see him in so many different locations and scenes in this film. There is also a fan theory that the reason why we see Kai with so many different looks and styles in these scenes is because it's not always Kai that we are seeing. Some theories think that sometimes we are seeing Kai's evil X-EXO clone and other times we are seeing superhero, good EXO Kai. All of the EXO members first solo songs have something to do with the fact that they are members of EXO, and their MVs and songs show them using their powers. Baekhyun's song "UN Village" talks about his power to control light, Suho's "Let's Love" MV shows him with his power to control water, and Kai teleports all over in his "Mmmh" MV. As the first EXO member to have a solo career, the majority of Lay's solo MVs tie into EXO's storyline as well. Even in their solo work, everything EXO does is connected to their concept and storyline as members of EXO. :D Unfortunately, to make it even more difficult to understand, each part of the story is not necessarily in chronological order. So, we fans have to become detectives and analyze every aspect of everything any of the members of EXO/SuperM are involved in to try and piece it all together and figure out where each part fits within their larger storyline. And the story isn't just limited to their MVs, but it extends to everything EXO is involved in, including teaser videos, live performances, concert VCRs (videos played between sets in their concerts) and even a majority of their choreography. As you can see, EXO's and SM's Universe is extremely complicated and complex, and even the most expert of fans, has trouble following the storyline. The thing is, none of us really know exactly what is happening in the story, it's all just fan theories and educated guesses. SM has never confirmed or denied any of our theories and they have left it completely up to fans to figure out what is happening and to create the story. And oftentimes, because the story is not in order, we discover that, with the introduction of a new MV or performance, everything we thought to be true has been turned on its head and we now have to rethink everything. (We only hope that someday SM will come out with a book or movie that will explain the whole story, so we will know whether any part of our theories were correct.) This video did exactly what it was intended to do, which was get you to want to listen to the whole album and hopefully want to buy it. ;P If you want to see and hear the full versions of some of these songs, you should look up some of his live performances. As part of his promotions for his album he has performed several of these songs, such as "Mmmh", "Reason" and "Ride or Die," live. Plus, he has dance practice videos for both "Mmmh" and "Reason" if you want to see the choreography better. There is a reason why Kai is considered one of the best dancers of all time, and you will understand even more when you see his dance practice videos.
