@@inbarr1937 you just check which placement they got from each country in the jury and tele. Like if they got 1st in the tele and 2nd in the jury from a country then that would be 22 point :3

It wasn’t just one point and yes , i think they rigged it because coincidentally when Sweden will host it next year, it would mark ABBAs 50 year anniversary , and their own country are hosting it. It makes sense that they would rig it because you could tell from the crowd alone that Cha Cha Cha would win.

This video is purposely misleading. Those are not the real points they got, just a calculation of "what would have happened IF all the songs were in the modern voting system". But not what really happened. The reality is Euphoria, Grande amore and Fairytale are not in the "top 10 songs with most points". The real list can be found in wikipedia and it goes: 10. France Voilá (499) 9.Australia Sound of silence (511) 8. Italia Zitti e Buoni (524) 7. Finland Cha cha cha (526) 6. Israel Toy (529) 5. Ukraine 1944 (534) 4. Sweden Tattoo (583) 3. I wouldn't say it's "purposely misleading" since there is no way to make this list 100% accurate because of the variety of voting systems used throughout esc history. Yet in fact, what was showed in this video is actually more fair than the top that you showed

@@user-bs6cp7wt9wI meant is misleading because in the video literally says "songs with most points" and then shows you this list, it doesnt explain that this is a calculation to make it fair, it just lists the songs and points and it makes people believe those were the points they actually recieved, which is not true. It would be ok if they explained what they were doing, but as it just says "songs with more ponits" and then shows points that are not real as if they were the actual points, its misleading. People who doesnt know, would think this were the actual points.

@@pokezod7832 Thats not the case, at that time jury and televote points were combined into one singular total which means half the points of what you could get today

@@pokezod7832 agreed, the number of countries participating and voting changes from year to year so that affects the total number of points available and hence this list. In 2023 there were 37 countries whereas the highest number of participating countries ever is 43, which happened in 2008, 2011 and 2018.

Haters will always find all kinds of stupid excuses but they will always conveniently forget that he was one of the top favourites everywhere. Jealousy and 758 pointd are hard to swallow but history cannot be unwritten.

53 year wait and it was worthy it 🇵🇹 all those that say the song is overrated need to look up the translation or the meaning. His sister wrote the song cuz Salvador needed a heart transplant urgently so she wrote this song about her heart loving and living for the both of them. Also, last year, she gave birth to a son that she named after Salvador and soon after Salvador became a dad for the first time.

You guys just don't like it because it's not in English (like most winning songs in Eurovision) and because you guys are too lazy to search the translation. It's a beautiful story but it was a very slow song. Stefania was another song with an important story but it had the advantage of also having a great beat.

The new rating system is kinda crap … when jury votes and public votes diverge so massively it really screws everything 😅 I mean 150 p for Finnland last year … just laughable … the public vote was more than double In my opinion it should only be the telephone votes that should count - I mean it’s about music and what the people like and listen to … the „jury“ is just some designated ppls opinion 🙃
