Thanks to Noch, Diorama Presepe and Hot Wire Foam Factory for gifting me their products as used in this video.
Noch: www.noch.com
Diorama Presepe: www.dioramapre...
Hot Wire Foam Factory: hotwirefoamfac...
When I began making dioramas, I would sculpt them to sit inside little gift boxes. This is a larger version of that.
I like the thought of someone seeing a plain white box and picking it up, wondering what's inside, and opening it up to a complete surprise: a miniature realistic river complete with a stunning waterfall.
I hope you enjoy the video.

Beautiful piece man. Stunning work and love the box idea. A hidden gem awaits inside while doubling as a great way to keep the dust off!

The tiny difference between Woodland scenics and precipe bushes (the visible lighter coloured branch structure) make all the difference for realism. Top notch stuff there, Love it....All the best

The attention to detail and ease of work of a true master never ceases to amaze. At the same time, showing how mistakes can be corrected without freaking out (what I tend to do) is both educational as well as touchingly humble thing to do.

You are absolutely right, of course. Plus you are handing over on a “silver platter” the opportunity to others to learn from your mistakes. And that, to me, is really touching. Not many are generous enough to do that. Thank you.

Amazing, stunning, WOW! How you create incredible images using simple materials is a pleasure to watch.....and....something to emulate. You must have a treasure trove of wonderful landscapes in miniature on display around your home.....no need to venture into the wild!!

Wonderful as always! I appreciate how much time and layers you put into the rocks and all their subtle shades of blues and greens. The tufts of grass on the rocks near the edge were also really lovely, and I adored the semi-accidentally bubbles on the upper stream. Your second stab at the waterfall really turned out great as well, and I appreciate you showing your flubs and fixing them down the road. The style for rocks this time also looked really cool. Thank you for uploading this video, and I look forward to your next project! Have a good day in the meantime

Hi, the tufts you add at 12:50 do look very realistic against the broken rock formations. You're right, so much better than a blanket of grass. Kev.

Hello. Great videos. Could you tell me if, once the artificial water is poured, it is possible to add more if I have miscalculated the amount I need? I mean, if there would be time to make a new mix and add it some time later... or even several days later. Thanks.

Fantastic as always. Can anyone help me ive been asked to make a 1/6th jungle diorama for a friend, but I’m really struggling to find plants. I’d prefer real but fake are ok aswel. Can anyone point me in the right direction please or does anything at diorama precipe work for larger scales.

Hi, I'm trying to encase the whole mini model I made into epoxy resin. Unfortunately, the grass would get wet and up like there is water on the ground, or they wouldn't end up like wild grass in the wind anymore. Is there any way to encase the whole model with grasses and trees in resin without getting them wet by resin? Also, can I use acrylic paint like Winsor and Newton or Mont Marte to paint the model and 3d printed miniature before encasing them? They are a bit goopier, unlike Vallejo they are not fluidly. And I heard normal acrylic can be peeled off tend to the heat when the resin curing

@HighEyeWorkshop 2 жыл бұрын
I'm afraid I've never tried any of those things. Check out some videos on encapsulating flowers in resin to give you a better idea. I suspect bubbles will be your main issue. As for acrylics, I would just try a test piece first. I often use normal artist's acrylics and they seem ok, but I couldn't guarantee it will be the same for all paints and resins.
