Just visit a old grave yard where you can barely read the names. Then consider how cool it would be to be immortal. 5,000 + years of memories you can't forget and trapped in endless battle to fight that goes on and on. And consider Duncan's loss and heart break.

When you watch the world move on and change without you , as you have only the memories from when your time was part of it, you won't find it so romantic. As you watch all the places of memories get torn down for progress of new building that get torn down, places and business come and go from building with no respect for those that were there before..... To quote from the the book and film "The Lovely Bones" "... All this time I was learning to see a world without me in it..."

@Able Magawitch I would have to disagree with some of that being a Highlander fan. There is some things in life beyond buildings and places. But there are some places still worth seeing. The ocean is one of my favorite places. Doesn't really matter where you live. It always takes my breath away. Since I've started riding motorcycle. Riding out on country roads and watching the sun go down. Fishing is great way to escape and relax. There are some old monuments and buildings if you look hard enough or historical society buildings in every US city. The one thing I loved about Highlander tv series. The love of History and learning. But the most important part. Was living the best life.
