I got one lighting trout the only problem with quarry lakes is the amount of people. Hopefully now that people have to pay it won’t be as crowded

@@anglerslifestyle4321 I don't know if it is easier or harder than Lake Temescal considering I'm yet to catch any trout but you can't see the fish in Temescal's water and the lake is much smaller. So there is not many spots to fish from and they don't stock fish as often as they do in other spots. Since you can't see the fish, it is best to go right after a fish planting because that's the only way you know they are in there but then again the challenge is the amount of anglers vs the spots available to cast from (many spots are covered by trees/plants). Lake Chabot gets few fish planting too.

@@anglerslifestyle4321 Never been to Quarry Lakes. Are they all stocked? Which one is fished? Are most stocked fish caught pretty close to the shore?

@@ronmodafferi8202 Stocked with Mt Lassen and State Trout during the fall, winter, and early spring. During the late spring and summer, catfish is planted. Depending on water temp, fish could be shallow or deep. Good luck.

@@360revolucion8 Sandy Wool's water level is 3 ft lower than usual. Santa Clara county may have opted not to fill the lake with city water in preparation for rain and runoffs. The last week was full moon. The armada of cormorant could be adding to the pressure. Because fishing and parking is free, there's too much fishing pressure. Similarly, fish eating pattern is different, reflecting their hatchery feeding schedule. Moreover, warmer temps is not good for trout. They are looking for 54 degrees. I caught one trout there yesterday. :-)
