If MLB accepts human error as part of the game then you are going to get missed calls like that. You don’t see humans at the end of a pool in the Olympic Games pointing out who wins the race. The umpires we have are the best in the world. If you want humans to make impossible calls, then you are going to get bad calls.

I would agree on some terms but hockey. (It's not tiny but it's not as big as a football) it's going like 80.0 mph at you. But when it gets to the point where you reviewed like 5 Times (I thinked happened once) that's enough spent over an hour reviewing one play that, let's say didn't really matter. You could have a whole video on perfect games broken up on the last out, although some were not televised obviously: 1908 - Hooks Wiltse (NYG v PHI) 1932 - Tommy Bridges (DET v WSH) 1958 - Billy Pierce (CWS v WSH) 1972 - Milt Pappas (CHC v SD) 1983 - Milt Wilcox (DET v CWS) 1988 - Ron Robinson (CIN v MON) 1989 - Dave Stieb (TOR v NYY) - he also lost *two no hitters in a week* in 1988 on the last out 1990 - Brian Holman (SEA v OAK) 2001 - Mike Mussina (NYY v BOS) - shown 2010* - Armando Galarraga (DET v CLE) - shown 2013 - Yu Darvish (TEX v HOU) 2013 - Yusmeiro Petit (SF v ARI) - shown 2015 - Max Scherzer (WSH v PIT) - on a dodgy HBP call

I can't believe how some sports have an overclock last-action explicitly to avoid the absurd last-second situations, and others still cling to that old timer rule despite always creating only problems and never solutions.

18:32. No, we won't have to call people back out onto the floor. And, yes, the game is still over -- tell Gordon that the game is over. If someone's field goal that would have led to a 1 point win is disallowed, then we can't really have a tie score when those points come back off the board. How can these announcers continue to be so situationally unaware?

Nothing wrong with the call at 4:28. (Although very upsetting) The rule book states that the release of a ball from the players glove must be voluntary and intentional. The length of time the ball is held has nothing to do with the determination of a catch.
