Pobega has already been on loan, Colombo can rotate for Ibra, Roback will play in the primavera while bellodi will go on loan. Maldini can stay to rotate in attack.

@@t75milano I like what you said. But also want to point out is the development of each individual player. They are young, they need constant minutes on the pitch. 300 minutes a season does not help them get enough development. From a long term, Milan can benefit from it. Colombo can play for the Youth one more season while stand by for the adult team's call. Maldini, Bellodi, Pobega can go somewhere else to get their minutes.

Pobega has already played on loan for two seasons. He can serve as cover and rotation as we'll play 3 competitions this season. Bellodi will go to Ascoli. It's been agreed. It wouldn't serve Maldini well to leave as he's only 18, can still play in the primavera and provide cover. He's improved since the start of last season so by next year he'll be a challenger for a starting position. Same for Colombo. He was injured for several months. He'll be first choice for the primavera and will give an option in smaller games.

I am aware of Pobega was on loan for the past seasons, and I also have high expectation on him, hope he will deliver an excellent season for the team. If we land Bakayoko in a few weeks, Pobega's play minutes will be further squeezed if you agree. (Not saying he competes with Bakayoko, but Bakayoko will free other midfielders to test CM role). Again, my point is not saying these youngsters are not talented enough, I am saying they all need to play real games to grow, not sitting there for a few games a year. Pobega and Maldini along with other youngsters are assets to ensure Milan's future success, but the prerequisite is keeping them in the game. Rino and Ambrosini were on loan for more than two seasons before return. I also understand we have three front lines, but how many more games of the Italian cup and Europa? We don't know yet. If I count it right, we've already had 5 fowards for 2 to 3 positions, 8 midfielders for 3 to 4 positions, more than 10 defenders for 4 positions. Most of them can play decent minutes, how much is left for the youngsters and at the same time not wasting their valuable time of career? I enjoy this conversation with you, by the way.
