On pourrait presque dire " belle défaite" tellement tu nous a fait rêver !!!! Alexis, tu es passé tout prêt ! Une défaite constructive, car il n'y a qu'au score que tu as perdu. Tu grandi un peu a chacun de tes matchs, que soit en gagnant ou en perdant ! Continus a nous faire rêver ! Bravo !

Lebrun has got some raw instincts and creativity which he brings to bare in his games. A delight to watch - gave away two easy points in the last game, ...got a great future. I'm a fan!

@WTT please change the camera angle. When it's this high up we can't see the game properly. It needs to be low so we can see the height of the ball, and on the diagonal angle so the players' don't bodies don't block the view of the table. Everyone would really appreciate this change, please listen

Congrats to Lin! He won a tough one. Lebrun played better than Lin but Lebrun mishandled the last few points. That service error at 7-6 was crucial. Instead of 8-6, it became 7-7.

Dude with less power won despite losing many long rallies. Lin has great serves and that saves him.

Amazed by how well Lebrun plays. He is star already, but he will become best european player soon. For the some next episode at NEW LEVEL TT we will choose his match for analysis. check it out.

@@ttime9947 He's the only European who doesn't have crooked strokes and is fully fit.On top of that France has already produce a World Champion whereas most national teams have never beat the Chinese when it mattered.

@@ttime9947 Moregard has a congenital problem.Lebrun's uncle is Christophe Legout who was built like a brick shithouse (best physique according to Waldner) so he seems to have good genetics.

Un peu de déchet en démarrage coup droit sur ce match pour Alexis, à ce niveau là ça se paie vite, mais c'est pas le plus compliqué à corriger et ça m'a jamais semblé un problème jusqu'alors, et vu sur la pente ascendante sur laquelle il est en terme de progression et de résultats, c'est le genre de match qu'il ne perdra plus très rapidement

Alexis reminds me a bit of Michael Maze. Is able to lob, play defensively but still win points.

Maze had the lefty advantage but Lebrun has better technique.

Different era. When MM was around speed glue was a thing. Now good technique and form is needed to generate that kind of power.

@@christ77 On the contrary it took more footwork to play with speed glue. Maze destroyed his body in no time with that horrible technique whereas you have players today who don't even train full time like Harimoto.

@@dickn.ormous1064it just comes down to technique. Perhaps MM just had it bad . Look at Timo Boll, he played before and after speed glue and he's still going.

Lebrun too often is too far away from the table especially when receiving Lin Yun-Ju serves

Lin was just slightly better. If you look the statistics, Lebrun winned more strokes than Lin.

Even if alexis didn't make that service error, it wouldn't guarantee he would win the point. Lin made some errors that he shouldn't have too.

Lin Yun-Ju était largement dominé, Alexis a perdu un match qu'il n'aurait jamais du perdre a cause d'erreur d'innatension sur des balles anodines en fin de set. 8-8 partout 7:30 (deux grossières erreurs qui lui ont couté le 4eme set alors qu'il avait fait le plus dure), a 10-10 encore deux fautes directs sur des attaques ou il avait l'air bien positionné. dans le 5eme set il mene 7-6 9:45 service dans le filet, ensuite 7-7 remise dehors, tout le set c 'est pareil. Non non c'est pas possible.... C'est vraiment dommage.
