Gonna be epic, i've never been so nervous and excited for a game, past 2 world cups I've known in the back of my mind that NZ would win no matter what, but this England side could very well beat us, when they get momentum they look unstoppable, same could be said about us, it's gonna be epic. This game here was an England side with about 15 injuries, and they pushed us to the limit, they got a fully fit squad now, and we playing a bit better... may the best team win!!!

@@corysmith9897 Lovely to see this, I'm an Englishmen and I can honestly say on behalf of most of us, certainly myself at least, that it's always a pleasure to see how other teams outside of Europe regard us as something worthy of being anxious/worried about. We think of NZ as this titan that can't be beaten, and that tournaments they enter are never in doubt. But to be viewed by the All blacks as being a titan from the northern Hemisphere is exciting, so interesting to see other peoples perspectives

Unluggy uce. But in all serious we were really lucky that it was called back for offside; which it was. I guess in my view, if the charge down went into touch would we have gone back to the offside or continued. Its difficult and both tests with SA and AB's could have gone either way. England last week, AB's this week. A real hard fought test match and props to England for putting up an amazing test match. Retalick is monster as well

I think England played really well. kicking game was on point, defence was tough to beat enjoyed every min of the tight contest. That charge down has to be karma for last week against the boks. All blacks lucky to get away with the win well done fellas

England's 1st half performance was on point but they stuffed and passed up so many opportunities to score points in the 2nd half. Dropped balls, turned down penalty shots at goal and went for lineouts instead only to lose them multiple times to Retallick.

If you find a replay of the whole game, Lawes was onside as he jogged across, then the NZ No 17 steps forward. This pushes the offside line back, making Lawes offside. The ruck offside line does disappear when the Scrum Half picks up the ball, but Lawes is already offside at this point, and so should not interfere with play until he is back onside. He would be back onside if one of his team moved past him, or once a NZ player kicks, passes, or carries the ball 5m. The world rugby site is quite good for explanations: laws.worldrugby.org/?law=15

As a kiwi I remember this game and I remember even though we won it still felt like a loss.. And we really never won again against England to this day 2023.. At the same time Englands not even the worst threat anymore leading to the World Cup where everyone used to fear the All blacks.. This is going to be truly the best World Cup this year. Great game!!.. Love those types of hard fought close battles... Hard luck England. You had the wood on us, but didn't capitalise on it... You can't sit on a 15 point lead with the AB's... It only serves to help them build a counter attack and claw their way back... Very impressed with the mobility of the English forwards though.. Bring on Ireland.

We didn't soak up the pressure like we do mostly in big games like this. England had us on the ropes. We should have smoked them individual vs individual, but we didn't. England are getting back to that text-book rugby which worked soo well for them. Very strong. Good game England, very good, it has been noted!

I think this loss was the catalyst for the way England turned up at the RWC semi. I've never seen a side so driven, executing so perfectly. Dont think any side on the planet could've lived with them in that state. They were knackered from it the next week and it showed.

Fascinating really, the All Blacks were knackered, but still held on in the rain. We're not worried about the rain, but it can put a spoke in the plans. tee brinner It’s not the first time or the last time that the All Blacks have been outscored like that. It doesn’t happen often but the weather probably had something to do with that.

A very close and fantastic test match played in the rain. The game last week and this game both came down to the last 5mins or so for England. I wonder if they would rather take a L to SA last week for a W against the AB's? I hope England play like this at the World Cup and that's coming from a AB's supporter.

What is blatant about it? If you pause the video at 4.03, there is no England player contesting the breakdown. Now that a ruck is considered formed as soon as the first man is over the ball, it's still a ruck as NZ are over the ball. The offside line is the closest part of a player who is involved in the ruck. A player on the floor cannot be involved in a ruck and has to release and roll away, so that is not the England player, but whichever Kiwi is furthest forward. Whether it was offside or not comes down to whether Lawes is ahead of any point of the NZ players when the ball is lifted - that looks like a marginal call to me, and one the officials possibly got wrong. If you think it was "blatant", please explain how?

England was offside twice within 10 minutes before that call too. Rushing in defence is fine, but they need to be careful not to be offside. Ref should have penalised them numerous times
