your comment was a correct answer.....that player is important for any team...if he hadn't scored the goals...or his team would have been defeated in the result...or if it was a fan of the team that plays or of the rival team... I would still pay to see him play... I know that the value of the ticket would be worth it... because he always plays well and has fun and makes you enjoy if Is he on your team or makes you suffer if he was your rival... but either way... he manages to give him recognition... whether that boy wins or loses, he always stands out from the rest!!!! and you Comment was valued at his talent that he has!!!!

In #21's defense, I will say that there is no team in today's MLS that would concede 3GA to MNUFC when on a red card. Also, he is still very young and will learn to temper comments to the press.

They are both very good players, but MLS clubs are aware of this and try to take measures to limit their impact (with mixed success). Puebla obviously didn't do their homework and played right into their strengths.

Why Leagues Cup has sucked so far: 1) too many MLS matchups in the opening rounds, 2) too many games won by penalty shootouts (usually in MLS favor), 3) of course, it’s all played in USA, 4) not enough investment in either team to really try (why would they?), 5) this won’t make either fan base - Mexicans or US Americans - watch each others’ leagues with more attention (the MLS commentators don’t seem to know much about the Mexican teams). It’s still fun, and I hope the later rounds are more heated and have a sense of purpose .

I couldn't disagree more. I've found the most of the games to be highly entertaining (including some of the matchups between MLS teams like tonight's Cincy-SKC game) and one of the positives is that most teams are using most of their starters because of the big prize money involved and both leagues took a pause. Too often in the past, games between LigaMx and MLS clubs have involved watching the subs for each team play each other. But not this time. As for the American commentators, some seem to have done their homework (like the crew that worked the Philadelphia game and Austin games) and others less so. As for the impact on fans, just go read the comments to the Spanish version of the highlights for this game. Its full of Mexicans praising Reynoso and wanting to watch him again.

WHAT??? I highly disagree. This is entertaining football. The way I've been watching this tournament is as if Liga MX and MLS are one league. So far, the matches have been really tight and full of drama. This is great football.
