His passes were abysmal this game for the first 70 minutes. Glad he played amazing at the end but the inconsistency is what hold him back

20 years ago there would have been more space for him in the USMNT, not anymore and that is a good thing. I say that not because I wouldn't want him there, but because the quality of the USMNT has improved dramatically since then.

Houston wants winners and these guys are in last place in the West. You can't invest in one top notch player and expect the other lower level players to make a difference with a coach that in my opinion, should be fired. I miss the Dominic Kinnear era. He is a coach that in my opinion should have been the USMNT coach before the talent that exists now. Dominic Kinnear was known for making good teams with whatever he had, usually low level players. His Houston Dynamo of the mid to late 2000s used to give good LigaMX teams a run for their money. Even the Mexican immigrant community in Houston acknowledged it.

He and bale don't seem to mesh well on the field since they're similar types of players at this point. They slow the offense. A big reason why they lost 1-4 vs Austin last match was because they both started.

I'm a neutral in this match, but it seems that refs are giving penalties for anything and everything this season. It's kinda ridiculous honestly, but what can you do.
