Ya know, and I don't mean this in a disrespectful way cuz I think Giddey can be really good in the league, but every time I watch him he looks like an "old school" player in like every aspect. Like the way he runs, the way he shoots, etc. Like its actually kinda cool to watch cuz it's like watching a really talented 80s player in the modern NBA.

Good players make time slow down,which slows defenders down.Its a God given skill,very hard to teach.In this age of crash & burn your defender he is different & stands out with a lot of facets of his game.IQ,passing,reading the game as a rookie is unique & not the norm.

I don't think I have ever seen a package of highlights about a player where the commentators barely mention the player's name. It's as if they didn't actually even notice that Giddey was the one doing the assists, rebounds, shooting etc

This game shows why having a true center is important. Can’t have guys who are 6’8” constantly guarding guys like Vucevic.

Yea but OKC also has to lose games to get one of those guys. Sam Presti will no doubt target big men in the next draft. Until then as long they are playing competitively it’s all you can ask.

@@Oklahoma_Rider I get that. I just wish they didn’t trade away Moses Brown last offseason. Thought he showed promise. And as a 7’2” guy, that’s nice.

CHI starters each played on average 5 minutes more than OKC, agree with you but think that this was just as big a factor

@@ianconness11 Moses brown was good but he wasn’t that good. He can’t keep up on pick and roll plus i think presti traded him cuz I think okc record would be better than this with him cuz he made a impact for only this okc team. They want to draft a big and we gon get it

Man his accumulating ROTM & breaking NBA records,not only in his franchise but the whole league.He should be a moral.It will be btn Giddey in the West & Mobley in the East.Unless Barnes overcomes Mobley & it will be him & Giddey.Not long to find out now.Anyone of them or Wagner wins it & I wouldnt complain.They have earnt their stripes.

@@jonathandavid9389 when you putting up LeBron numbers & putting your name with him after 50 games your joining illustrious company in your rookie yr.That has to put u in the reckoning up to your eyeballs.It should not matter if you in the finals or not.Finals for a rookie just expedites their growth.Its own what you produced in the season.Numbers don't lie.

great player- but shows how overrated a triple double is. just by moving the ball from the point position you should be able to get 12, 8 and 8 unless your an idiot in 32 minutes- in todays game

Not necessarily - otherwise everyone would have triple doubles - you say it's easy to get 12,8 and 8 but if you look at the stats of most games not many people get that. Plus the difference between a 12,8 & 8 and a triple double is only small but very difficult to get those extra stats. Most guys who can shoot and assist don't have the work ethic to get in there and get 10+ rebounds a game.

Nonsense. Sure, the NBA is pretty loose with the definition of an assist, but there's a reason average 8 a game. You've still got to hit guys on target in space. Even those little hand offs and passes out of doubles have timing and accuracy associated with them. And to add 8 rebounds a game with that? You're talking rare stats here. And if you think only a few players in the world aren't "idiots" then I suspect the biggest one you see daily is the one in the mirror.

There is more to the game then scoring points.The less you concede makes it easier to win.Pts,Assists,Rebounds steals & blocks all count.The more you good at,the better you are, & makes you more relevant to your team.Even a goddamn rookie knows that.lol.
