Yes and as a citizen of Latvia, I can say that at least half of the nation is embarrassed by the game. Poor performance, lack of luck, and almost shitshow of an offence.

As a latvian fan i cant say im not disappointed but poland played a really good game even if in my opinion they got a lucky a couple of times i hope to see poland playing at the top division more often and see how polish hockey develops in the years to come

On the other hand, I watch canadian junior hockey leagues (OHL, WHL, Quebec) and it´s incredible how many talents you canadians can produce. Just incredible.... A lot of our slovaks play there but the hockey in your veins is on another level)))

Well faught guys. The crowd as well was sensational. It gave the game some extra spice. Poland + Latvia = A LOT OF NOICE. Good luck to both nations with the remaing games. This game was very entertaining!! Poland really impressed me today, I don't think Latvia expected a battle like this. Not long ago Poland were in DIV 1B. Congrats for earning a point.

Hockey God was on Poland's side - three goals were scored from ricochets. However, Latvia showed character and fought back with purposeful work and won a well-deserved victory. I have to praise the Polish team for their discipline and I think that this team deserves to be in the I division. No one will have it easy against Poland. Latvia must drop the fever of the first games and play its own game that gives results.

Poļiem protams ir daudz problēmu, bet viņi ļoti spēcīgi pretojās. Viņi zaudēja vārtus vairākumā un bija liels spiediens polijas aizsardzības zonā. Ja Poļi šādi spēlēs pret KZ un FR, viņi spēs nopelnīt sev divas uzvaras.

Poland has a really good team, I enjoyed their playing. I wish guys in red had won in overtime but Latvia is more experienced team. I'll be rooting for Poland team further.

I was really wishing it for Poland to get the first game in this division since 22 years as a win, but LAtvia kept fighting to the end and proved to have more experience and endurance in the end. Oh well, I think we all expect the coming games to be rather one-sided results, but somewhere in my heart, I wish for Poland to be able to somehow hold themselves in this division for another year. It would be amazing. Well played both teams, I'd say

@@lestercrowley1485 Niekoniecznie. Mamy jeden punkt za remis z Łotwą po trzech tercjach. Jutro mecz Francuzów z Łotyszami, a nam wypada mocno kibicować Łotyszom. Jeśli Łotysze wygrają go za trzy punkty, a potem my za trzy punkty pokonamy Francuzów (co będzie bardzo trudne, ale nie niemożliwe), wtedy będziemy mieć cztery punkty, a Francuzi zero. Z każdej z dwóch grup spada tylko ostatni zespół w tabeli. Tak więc jeśli po trzech meczach Polska będzie mieć cztery punkty (bowiem ze Szwecją raczej nic nie ugramy, różnica klas jest zbyt duża), to nawet jeśli my przegrany wszystko do końca za zero punktów, a Francuzi będą wszystko przegrywać po dogrywce, to na koniec będziemy w tabeli przed Francuzami. Obie drużyny miałyby po cztery punkty, ale o utrzymaniu zadecyduje zwycięstwo w bezpośrednim meczu. Wierzę, że możemy ich ograć. Kibicujmy 🇵🇱 hokeistom! 😀 Pozdrawiam! 🤗

Yes Poland can. Same as Latvia did last year. Exceptional game Poland. Long time not seen so much Thriller and tension, like old school hockey, fans love it. As a 🇱🇻 ice hockey fan, part of my heart after this holds Poland team, brilliant game! Good luck Poland in upcoming games🏒👍❤️

Poland luck in this game was out of the roof ! I mean 3 goals they landed, was pure luck by all means ! I'm not saying that Poland played bad, they showed really good defensive play that made Latviato work hard, but these goals from Poland, i mean the Ice Hockey god was on Polands side....

Two of your goals were lucky as well. Shorthanded goal bounces off goalie pad and one barely legal (for me it was a foul on polish goaltender). We are happy to be back in elite. Latvia is far more stronger team. Hockey in Poland has low popularity, no one is watching hockey here.

@@91DarthBane U taking it too personally ! First goal wasn't even a shot on goal, he gave pass, the other one also was pass, but bounced against Latvian skate, it wasn't meant as a shot on goal. These 2 goals was pure luck ! Latvia made shots on goals and then landed from rebound ! It is not the same as u giving pass and it turns out as good possition to land pack into net,when it rebounds some one by mistake... When u shoot and get rebound in many cases they do that purposedly, but when u do a pass and it hits some one and some one scores, that is luck !

Пельмень, то шо твою руснячую/беларуснячую сборную качают бабками и вы на пережитке ссср еще как-то там плаваете , то поверь, скоро эта лодочка перестанет плыть. Тренера по типу Ротенберга ускорят процесс) те кто в нхл играют они там и останутся) на ваши сборные газмяс турниры кроме Сашки домино никто не будет ездить)) у вас ото казахи будут бегать , да тувинцы) будете кубок первого канала разыгрывать, шойгу с гЭрасимом будут капитанами) и по поводу поляков.. они даже стадионов нормальных не имеют самый большой на 3000 болельщиков детей от силы в секциях около 500-600 человек на возрастную группу. Из них лишь 50 дай бог чтоб продолжило играть , хоккей кое как интересен лишь на юге страны. Зарплаты около 4-5тысячи долларов у самых результативных игроков польской лиги. О какой культуре/тактике игры и сравнении с грандами вообще может идти речь? Они чудом пробились в элиту и радовались этому как дети. Они знают что они аутсайдеры этого турнира и скорее всего вылетят. Их целью на чемпионат было дать бой французам и казахам , а с остальными хотя бы сыграть достойно. А кстати! ты лапоть чего вообще западный хоккей смотришь? Ишь какой , тебе кто пендосовские турниры позволил смотреть, решил пойти против системы? Или КэХоэЛ наскучил?)

Some facts about team Latvija - we are bad at the start of championship but putting on with any next game, we are playing better shorthanded than equal or PP. We still have some habits of "underdogs" and the games against lower ranked teams are always a kind of struggle for us.

Yeah, the classic Latvian story is have a super competitive game vs Canada/USA/Czechia/Russia (back in the day)/Sweden, then lose to Kazakhstan or Austria in an embarrassing fashion.

@@user-ou2ib1hp1k ну раша добралась может до призовых. Золота она не увидела бы . Напомнить когда была последнее золото?) а про Беларусь то вообще ничего говорить. Днище уже на протяжении нескольких лет. Их уже англичане обыгрывают на легке. Да и в группе всегда на последнем месте последние ЧМ) нех им там делать. Польша вот удивила , как они с Латвией бадались. Уровень игры вырос.
