HIGHLIGHTS | Robins on fire at Ashton Gate! Bristol City 4-0 Northampton Town

3 жыл бұрынBristol City have advanced to Round Three of the Carabao Cup after a convincing 4-0 victory over Northampton Town.
Dean Holden’s men were under the Ashton Gate lights for the first time this season and dazzled thanks to goals from Chris Martin, Antoine Semenyo and a double from Kasey Palmer.
Semenyo grabbed two assists, his first allowing Martin to head City into a half-time lead, before he set up Palmer, who rounded the goalkeeper to slot in the second of the night.
Semenyo had worked so hard all night and eventually grabbed his deserved goal - his second of the competition - with a close-range finish, before Palmer completed his brace with a cool finish after a Niclas Eliasson delivery.

Agreed mate semenyo on a different level I don't understand why he did not get game time last season. Palmer deserves to be in the side he played really well COYR

@@redsreds6598 more likely down to his age and the fact hadn't copped much experience, as you can tell yesterday he was reading the game a lot more successfully , as for kasey i just think johnson didn't rate his progression through the final third enough or defending duties, again, shown dean something to debate for next match!

Semenyo a breath of fresh air, almost a new signing! He has much improved his finishing and positioning over the last 6-12 months

Good to see the boys back to winning ways, early days yet but new signings look on point and gelling well, COYR had a feeling about holden all the way, you can see the change in attitude on the ball not being affraid to knock it back into are defensive half and try another angel of attack great to watch

Too many good performances but semenyo looks the real deal pace strength and awareness keep this up and we can sell him in January

Barnaby Lovegrove chose to ignore the comment. Ive been a season ticket holder for 30+ years. Really like Palmer, felt he wasn’t given enough game time. Had a bit of a dip in form probably lack of motivation and game time under Johnson so good to see him back playing.
