We can except the major conduct Penalty 5 min+20min that was handed to Mo Seider but before Switzerland scored their Goal a Swiss Player broke Seiders stick ! Like the elbow on the head against a swiss player and some calls given to germany and after the same thing happen but no signal by the referees. Mmhh, after the referees made bad decisions on both sides. But, clearly, the referees don't give the win to Germany. They earned that win and big respect to german team for that. I'm just curious how to rest of the tournament will be because there is some clear bad decisions by the referees in every games.

Yeah, its hard for me to cope with the humiliation and shame, year after year. Probably best for me to stop supporting my nation. As much as that hurts, being a swiss supporter hurts way more. Meanwhile the US and Canada dominate all of europe with teams full of 19 year old college players. I'm done.

I realy realy do not think that Germany is easier to win against than Team USA, I saw the Match and Germany played absolutely insane, they are very very efficient und when it comes to defending very passionate. It will be a great Fight on saturday, but Germany hast the Spirit to win this whole Championship.

Resting some of their top players against Latvia was a huge mistake. They were on a roll and changing the formula killed their momentum.

Well in 2022 you defeated the German team ! I dont get it why after such a win streak against top Icehockey nations and winning every game ( except against Latvia!) the Swiss Team completly falted against Team Germany! Your Swiss Team has 8 great NHL players( OK Malkin was injured!) still than 7 NHL players and good players from Swiss League which is.a better League than German DEL ! Germany is becoming Switzerlands nightmare in Icehockey at WC ! 2010 ,2021 and now 2023 ! From the rooster Switzerland had the potential to go all the way but choked again in the quaterfinals ! Canada vs USA is probably gonna be the final , although i would wish for a LAT vs GER final ! Germany had untill now have reached 14 Times the quaterfinals but its only the third time Germany is in a semifinal ! Good Luck on saturday against top Favorit USA ! I would argue that this is not good for ice hockey. In Switzerland I would say that ice hockey has a real chance to challenge football as the national sport, if the national team could take that next step and win a world championship, plus if a championship is hosted here. That will never happen in Germany. Football is too popular, and there are too many other popular sports (e.g. F1, handball)..

100% right. As a Swiss and hockey fan I was sitting there supposed to watch a game where the team thought it's fine to "leave" out a game. Not only must it have been disrespectful to the swiss fans in the stadium to go and watch a game where the team goes out and tries to half-ass it, but with that they also took all the wind out of their own sails. You can't convert from international competition to fun camp for one game and expect to just revert to the previous for like that. No disrespect to Latvia, those guys played as if they would have gotten whipped if they lost. That is a feeling that I missed from any swiss player in today's game. Our team outed itself from the tournament and I as a fan feel so disappointed about it. It almost feels like the time cheering for them in the previous games was wasted.
