This is total nonsense. Carousel horses were carved with different themes. This one is obviously an Indian pony theme; notice the feathers, bow and quiver of arrows in front of the rider's leg along with a saddle blanket. The artist included the face of an Indian warrior with a headband who does not look dead at all. Since the horse was intended to be ridden, he couldn't place the Indian in the saddle! There is no saddle bag. The horse should be immediately placed back on the carousel.

The Chicano’s Mary Jane (aka KAREN) tattoo is offensive to me! I find it very insensitive. I think she should go have it removed immediately before it offends somebody else. We need to put a garbage bag over her until she removes it! I find it gargantuan and offensive to my culture. When I saw it my mouth dropped open. I was mortified by it!! Do you think I should call the city & Denver 7 news station to report her??

Native American motifs were extremely popular during the time frame the carousel horse was made. This Karen's ridiculous uneducated complaint gets a piece of art removed. And then there are those officials who bow down to one whiner.

This is a themed Indian pony and is gorgeous! It CELEBRATES Indiand! See the touchs of feathers etc in various positions.. In no way did I perceive the bold Indian head to be "carried in a bag"! I believe it is in the mind of that onlooker and nowhere else! Have a look at other the other carousel horses- they all have an interesting theme! This onlooker has taken it out of context and sadly applied her own misinterpretation.. Put the lovely Indian pony back!!

this is not even right. The Carousel is not from the 1920s is probably from the 1990s. The horse itself is just a fiberglass model of a already existing horse that has been made molds of.
