I have made a round trip from south to north in Vietnam years ago. I was so impressed! So many highlights, culture and nature. Also loved the Cham towers, beautiful.

I type is with tears in my eyes and rolling down my cheeks . As an Australian that is married to a Vietnamese lady and together we share an amazing son . We honestly cry for each other every day whilst we wait patiently and with strength on the Australian Government to grant them immigration to Australia . I found this song whilst searching things about her home town Cù Chỉ in the hope I may see her or our son in a video . This song is so moving to me and also makes me very emotional and I love everything about the country of Vietnam and I really wish I could be there with them both . At 10 minutes you see all the lights in hoi an. It was actually at this place i asked my wife to marry me there on a boat between all the lights. Now 3 years later still happiely married and a little daughter of 5 months old. Such good memorys of our 3 week journey through vietnam. Where to start in vietnam? If you want to see the whole country, start in ho chi min city. And travel north to hanoi, sapa and ha long bay. In the south you see the history of this beautifull country. And in the north you see the beauty the country has to offer.

Tràng An is dubbed "Hạ Long bay on land", it's where the Kong Skull Island movie was shot - Huế - the old capital of Vietnam during the Nguyễn Dynasty - Đà Nẵng, Hội An - close to each other, there are a lot of attractions there. Hội An is historically a busy trading port in the region - Đà Lạt - a beautiful vacation city the French built in the colonial era, a lot of MVs you've watched were shot there - Phú Quốc - the biggest island of Vietnam, might be a good choice if you want some "Vitamin Sea", though there are plenty of other sea cities to choose from, like Nha Trang or Vũng Tàu - Bonus: Sơn Đoòng cave - the world's largest natural cave! (see Alan Walker's Alone pt. II MV) But in order to explore it you have to get some kind of permit, bump your fitness up, and register to get on the waiting list. The number of people allowed to enter each year is very limited to preserve the cave's natural state, so it's not an easy place to visit. Obviously there are still a lot more, I'm pretty ignorant about my own country. If you have plenty of time, backpacking and biking around the country is also a choice that many other foreigners did choose and make videos about on KZfaq, you can check it out. Finally, you're always welcomed in Vietnam! Peace

I was born and raised in Hanoi, Vietnam. I lived in my hometown for 19 years, until I moved half the world away to the US for college. Watching this video and listening to this song man… all I can say is I miss my home. The US has been good for me, but there’s always only one place I can call home. It depends what you like, most you love is in the North, starting by Hoi An . I was there twice and special the North is amazing. If you start in Hanoi then you can go from there to Sapa, Ka Giang, Healing bay, Nim Bin, MonChou, Hot An. Beautiful country with lovely people.

It's so funny when you ask where is the best place to visit. Honestly all place in VietNam is deserved to visit but it depends on what you like. If you like beaches more you can go to Da Nang, Nha Trang or If you like mountain or terraced fields you can come the Northwest. I hope you can come VietNam and see all the incredible sightseeing.

My recommendation for you for the start will be Nha Trang, the beach town you saw in the video. I lived there for a couple of years and I absolutely love it ever after. Second point is Ninh Binh, with the rivers, moutains, and paddy fields which were in the video, too.

You should start with Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, travel North to South (or vice versa). There's no best place in Vietnam because each city, region has it's own unique charm. If your time is limited, these are some cities that I had chance to visit, highly recommended: Hanoi, Ha Long, Sa Pa, Moc Chau, Ha Giang, Quang Binh, Da Nang, Hoi An, Da Lat, Nha Trang, Ho Chi Minh City, Mien Tay (the westen of southen Vietnam)... I remember you said that you love the beaches, then Ha Long, Nha Trang, Vung Tau will definitely blow you away.

this song is really touch my heart, I was born and raise in the VN war that is never go away for so many decades, I was one of those boat people refugee.

To answer your question, if you wanna see a modern Vietnam, my recommendation is Hanoi (our capital), Danang and Hochiminh City. But I can see you literally love our stunning nature which is far away from skyscrapers, Ninh Bình, Hà Giang and Đà Lạt are 100% on top of list. Hope to see you soon 🤗🤗

I was one of the people that just remembered war- we leave VN when I was a child with my parents and siblings. My sisters and I went back to VN in 2019. It was my first time after 44 years away where I was born - it was very beautiful. I went back one time but My daughters who was born in America went back to VN couple times with their friends and cousins and they loved it.
