Without going into detail, unspoken goodbyes can leave some of the most gut wrenching feelings for both involved. So many unknows and just filled with, "I hope they're doing well." Songs like this are good for me because its reassurance that you can be given more than one angel. It's all about what you do with the angel you're given. Johnny's getting better and we can see it in the music.

how badly we needed to return to what. Pleasing you? I’m stoked you enjoy the song :) but we don’t NEED to do anything. we make the music we want, when we want, how we want. I don’t “stick” with formulaic pandering. I make what the feeling inside me calls for.. in this instance, it appears fans of THIS style of music will be happy.. but if my soul calls for me to make a whole ass electro-pop dance album next or a scream jazz song or whatever I’m feeling in that moment, I’m damn sure gonna make that and not think twice. It’s really tiring hearing about how stunted people want artists to stay. Should Bowie have just played in one style his whole career? Should a photographer continue to shoot the same subject or always use the same camera? Should Harrison Ford only have played Hans Solo but not Indiana Jones? Should Edward Hopper have only painted the same image? I hope sincerely that one day people can understand how maddening it is for artists to have to constantly be told to stay in their box. I am a human being, sir.. I’d like to continue exploring and being true to myself, no matter what that sounds like or looks like. Anyway, I do appreciate you as a fan.. sometimes i just need people to get off my back and let me breathe tho. I promise I’ll never tell anyone else how they should express themselves, i just want the same respect on a very basic and human level.

@TERRIBLETUBE I hope you read this, Johnny. I never expected you to reply here. I am a musician myself and gig several nights a week, every week, playing originals and covers. I was a total pussy and only recently started playing those originals because I had to get out of my own way and the fear of people thinking I need to be this or that because they already know me as one thing. In hindsight, I understand how my comment read, and I am sorry for that. It was purely from a place of excitement because the first 2 albums really hit me in my soul. Fuck, I still cover Seratonia in my set to this day. Do your thing, man. I'm actually glad you responded as I probably needed to read that from the person themselves to appreciate it beyond my own personal feelings.
