Hi guys. Unfortunately this is not the Status Quo version of Rockin’. This sounds a bit flat & held back compared to Quo’s version. The original is classic & a live version is even better. UK no’3..16 weeks in the charts in 1977…UK sales 750k.

You actually must like it as it is written by John Fogerty :) Pictures of Matchstick Men (they actually started with psychedelia, went to blues rock before they settled for good with hard boogie rock), Sweet Caroline, the live versions of Roll over lay down and Rain, and especially Whatever You Want are must-listens!

You should listen to the band that go by the same name as your baseball cap 'Thunder'. I watched them live supporting Status Quo years ago one Christmas Eve in the UK, and boy, their music! It was my introduction to them. River of Pain is a good one to start with. Very underrated band.

STAY-tus Quo!

Here in the UK we pronounce the bands name as Stay-tus Quo, not Stat-us Quo. About time you guys featured one of the many great hits by SLADE.

This Quo version of Rocking All Over... is by far the most popular. It was one of those rare songs that actually got boys dancing at school dances! It was Creedence Clearwater Revival's John Fogarty who wrote and recorded the song first, though. That was in 1975, when in Senior School I bought the album and hid it in my dorm room, to play at night. My school didn't allow boys to have rock records!

But only that this is not Quo singing at all, wrong version and from a cover band..

The very first song i heard by them was from the *In the Army now* album called *Overdose* this was in 1989, i heard that song on the radio with my dad on our way home from the store, i was 8 or 9 years old, from that day on i was a fan, now 35 years later i got a CD rack just for SQ, 40 plus albums including a few "bootlegs" and few vinal just for good measure. ;) So i would love to see you react to Overdose..

Guys, this is a cover, not a bad cover, but a cover all the same.

Status Quo were THE classic UK rock band, first appearing mid 60s with Pictures of Matchstick men... So respected were they, that they opened Live Aid in '85 with this very song. This may sound to you now like US rock n roll, but very much rooted in early UK rock.

Rockin all over the world became Live Aid anthem. You need to an Reaction video to Status Quo Down Down and listen to it carefully.
@briangeorge2868 ай бұрын
Its always best to react to Quo playing live in my humble opinion, it just adds another dimension. Check out them opening the whole Live Aid show with this anthem. People were sceptical that they should even be there but Bob Geldof knew better and within seconds they got the huge crowd fired up. Other than Queen, they were one of the highlights.

IMO the Ultimate Highway Tune is from a German Techno group from the 70's. They are Kraftwerk and the tune is "Autobahn". I promise you will love it.
