Lavaux has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007. The vineyards above Lake Geneva are perfect for hiking. You have an almost constant view of Lake Geneva. The area was created by the retreat of the Rhone glacier. In the 12th century, Cistercian monks built kilometers of stone walls and terraces, which are still used for viticulture today.

This video shows one reason why Switzerland is such a paradise for hikers. If you feel unwell, or you get tired,or the weather changes for the worse, you are never far from a public transport stop/station with at least an hourly service! (Cully gets two trains an hour even at weekends.)

Yes, its just amazing to hike here. So many beautiful paths and easy accessable without the need of a car.

Thank you for a wonderful video in which you show us one of my favourite areas of Switzerland. If Swiss people say the word 'Romandie' I immediately think of the Lavaux vinyards!

@@swisshikerontour ja genau, die Verbindung läuft automatisch, wenn Kamera und Mik eingestellt sind. Die Kamera hat auch drei kleine Miks integriert die erstaunlich gut sind.
