@@Tyler.254 its what they do in nature. dogs arent like humans where we spend a huge amount of time with our children. even with wolf packs, the children eventually leave to start new families. that's how you get good populations and genetic diversity

@spastik Because thats life. Do you plan on living with your parents your entire life? Are you really young or something? I cant believe Im having to explain this. Living things grow up and live on their own away from their parent(s) once they dont need their parent(s) to take care of them anymore. For a dog, thats around 3-6 months old. Thats why.

Grace Armstrong- Williams He doesn't live next to his dad...he was talking about the puppy's "dad". He didn't know them (his neighbors) before quarantine, so it worked out well!

I know this comment may never be seen or even mean much. Regardless, I have to say thank you SOO much The Dodo for featuring so many pit bull breeds on your channel! They got such a bad reputation that's placed on them by irresponsible owners it's unreal! I've personally dealt with dozens of pits and I can probably name two that their owner took the time to train them properly. They're NOT aggressive they're high energy and very loyal therefore if your not providing them the enrichment and training they deserve, YOU create instability and uncertainty. I really appreciate you guys fighting the stigma and showing how lovable this breed really is.

Facts. When my first dog had puppies, only my father could get near her or the puppies for weeks!! She would growl or snap at me or mom lol. My dad is the dog pied piper though 😄😄

Ruby went from being lost in the woods, hungry, cold, scared, in labor to a loving, supportive, luxurious, healthy and (most especially) a KIND home. Talk about extremes. Wonderful families.

I don't completely believe this story. They said mamá was malnourished yet in day 2 she looks very healthy. A bit of embellishment but thats par for the course on KZfaq or pretty much anything beyond a camera

Ute Castronoova, I had to go back and watch again to make sense of it, but here's the scoop: Thom wasn't the one who found the mama giving birth. He said that a 'couple' on a hike found the dogs. Later (not the same day), Thom took in Ruby & her pups to serve as their foster dad. He didn't mention the time frame, but you're right that the pups were older than newborns when they moved in with Thom, and also Ruby had gained some weight by then.

It’s jut hard to believe a dog giving birth would let you come close when it doesn’t know you. If a female dog ( especially the type in this video ) doesn’t know you and giving birth it won’t let you come close, never. The video seems fake.

Absolutely fabulous! We adopted a little puppy who was full of ticks, fleas and worm, had giardiasis and filariasis and was scheduled to be euthanized. Well it's almost 2 years and she's happy, has some issues due to her health problems so young but she's active, bright, loyal and very bossy! It's always worth to save a life! Animals are just the best people!!

I don’t think he realizes how much Ruby truly trusted papa from the beginning. She gave him her babies, but she fought to give this man her love. So glad she gave him her love and trust!!

It was a selfish act! He thought "How can I get to hang out with these puppies?... I guess I have to foster everyone!" Lol so it was purely a chess move to play with puppies all day

It's just hard to explain. probably a bad analogy, but it's like if you adopt a foster child that had and know nothing but the ghetto and hell, with no hope ,and one day they just had a switch turn on and realize there was a life out there for them and they felt at peace. It brings as much joy as them Just chop that down to dog level and you may understand

I miss my Molly, she passed away in October last year and she was seriously the best dog. Ruby’s little face reminds me of her. She’s a keeper! Thank you for rescuing this mama and her babies!

Foster you mean stealing because some animals will go a distance away from where they live to give birth which is probably this case i hope I'm not alone thinking this because someone out there is missing there pet.
