As a proud Welshman I thank you for visiting our beautiful hills and mountains! You documented the area superbly, and anybody watching this do not underestimate what Liam did in this video even in good weather its one hell of a trek. I have been to the top of Penyfan and it is not easy even for people who are generally fit so to think you put in such distance either side of doing that is a testament to your conditioning. Always enjoy these videos nice one for the great content! Diolch yn fawr.

Liam, your pronounciation of Fan Y Big had me in stitches! I am a Welshman by the way and do a bit of walking in "The Beacons" as we call them in South Wales. Top tip: the "Y" is pronouced 'uh', like the "U" in up. From now on I shall always refer to this peak as Fanny Big. Love your vids man, keep adventuring!

Liam! Just loved this video just so honest, true, and thoroughly enjoyable. Another thing I wanted to mention too, is that I've noticed you keep your language clean. There's no horrible swearing, so I can enjoy your videos with my family, especially my grandchildren. Thank you, Liam. 😊

Its lovely to see you back home. I was a enthusiastic walker in my youth but these days at the ripe old age of 72 I find i can manage around a couple of hours on the flat but ony 30-40 minutes up hill. Arthritis and kidney problems definitely put a stop to anything longer. 😒

Sat here watching you hiking in Wales with a smile on my face. The beautiful sights, & sounds, of the birds. I could feel the pleasure you were exspereancing. You're brave, what you go through. Thank you. I'm 70, I couldn't do this, but watching, I am with you all the way.

Have to say as a local you did it so much better... Can't beleve he didn't give us a glimpse inside Patrishow Church.. the 15th century rood screen or the font which is 10th century, one of the oldest in Wales... come on Liam you can better! I hope if anyone reads this they will give your recent effort a viewing.

Liam, I have loved seeing you back in the UK - the Royal Mail box, the phone booth, the country railway station, the patchwork fields - but much more so, the countryside, the bird calls, the sheep, the weather - yet, for m, even more so, seeing the traditional Brown ingredients of cooking on your gas burner and brushing your teeth! Reminiscent of all the van life videos! Gotta love it. Our streams in the Western Cape (South Africa) are also coloured brown by the tannin, but are 100% drinkable!

As a Yorkshireman who lived in Wales for 12 years I learnt a rule that works with lots of Welsh words. If it's 3 syllables the middle one is often the strongest em-PHA-sis. So I'd expect Llan-GA-dog. Top quality video as always - thanks

@@sararassner Do guys like you come walking and hiking around the Peak District much? Reason I ask is because I live in the Peak District now but I’ve lived in America for years, I can’t seem to get motivated to do anything here, as in walking/highking and yet the thought of getting over to the States say and highking say Mount Washington or say the Grand Canyon gives me a Buzz. Only thing I can think of is because I was born and raised in this area and seen it all for so many years it kinda bores me ……butttt I obviously can see why many others who visit this area see the beauty and see it in a very different light ……if ya see what I’m saying. Probably lots of people out there see their own area where they live in a similar way. When I’ve been out to Wyoming, USA over the years the local in some of the small towns think I’m crazy for going there …..lol

Liam, there are 10 million sheep in Wales, and 25 million in New Zealand, but given New Zealand is more than 12 times bigger than Wales you are more likely to be looking at a sheep in Wales than New Zealand.

1:35 in - and fair play that was a really good shot at the Welsh version of Bannau Brycheiniog! Equally - Monmouthshire's footpaths in fields are a plague of those narrow fenced areas with farmers not wanting you to disturb the cattle. But it does make for filthy terrain to deal with.
