Hiking around Monte Cofano is one of the best hikes in the area of San Vito lo Capo in Sicily. The landscape is beautiful and it's an easy trail. Public buses stop in Custonaci from where the hike starts.

What a gorgeous place and although it looked very dry there was some amazing colorful flowers out, very beautiful indeed. This is a place we have never visited before but after watching this, we would both love it. The sea at the end was crystal clear, ideal for a swim, not sure about walking on the rocks with bare feet mind - ouch lol! Cheers Alan

The rocks were big and soft - barfoot was fun ;-). Yes, Sicily is dry and at summer time too hot, possibly. I am sure you would like it, specially in winter time or spring. Thanks for your kind words, my friend .

Schönes Video, schöne Wandertour. Gut in Szene gesetzt. Die Tour um den Monte Cofano haben wir 2015 auch gemacht. Eine tolle Ecke. Der Zingaro Park ist auch ein super Wandergebiet mit tollen Badebuchten. Die Stadt San Vito lo Capo hat uns nicht so gefallen, sehr viel Tourismus. Ich habe mal ein Abo dagelassen. Oooooooch Apfelsinen....wie schön. Nachdem ich auf La Palma echte Bananen gegessen hatte, fiel mir die Heimkehr wirklich schwer. Auch Tomaten und andere Früchte und Gemüse zogen mich in Ihren Bann. :-))) Eure Wanderung muss wohl richtig klasse gewesen sein...aber...ich sehe keinen Beluga oder A380....:-(( Ist auch schön, ohne. :-) LG Bastian

Hi there! How hard would you say this climb is? And how long to the top? My father in law lives there and wants to take me but says you have to climb to the top. I didn’t see any climbing in your video, mostly walking/hiking on paths. Is this correct? Thank you ❤️🙂

Well, yes it is a hike, as the name of the title and the discription says. Why did you think it is a climbing video? I believe it is rather smart to not climb to the top, sometimes ;-). Anyway this hikes leads around a mountain.

I do apologize for the miss understanding....Clearly I can read what the title of your video says. I was simply asking because my father in law that lives in Bonagia that is older wanted to take my husband and I on this trail but we were unsure what this trail entailed. As I said before he told us you could only climb in this area but here I see you are hiking.....Also a lot of videos for San Vito are linked to climbing videos, we just wanted to make sure it was going to be safe for him. We seen your video and just thought we’d ask, we will just ask family when we get there.
