Ausangate trek is one of the less famous treks in Peru. You can find it south of Cusco and spend 5 days in high mountains, crossing 5000 metre passes, meeting llamas and alpacas. We hiked it with our two friends and our dogs Phoebe and Lolo but also met some other dogs who acted like our guardians. Unfortunately the trek started with a robbery.
