Hiking Johnston Canyon to the Ink Pots in Banff National Park, Alberta. The journey starts directly behind the Johnston Canyon Lodge. About 1.1 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across the lower falls. For families with very young children, this could serve as a suitable turning point, as the trail gradually becomes more challenging with an increase in elevation between the lower and upper falls.
Keep walking for approximately 3 kilometers beyond the upper falls to reach the meadows and the Ink Pots. The Ink Pots are stunning pools of water, displaying varying shades of blue and green due to differences in their water levels.
