A big hike in Appenzell was on the agenda this time. With this tour I met 3 Appenzell classics: Seealpsee, Meglisalp, Aescher. I had often been tempted to cross the prominent mountain, which can be seen on the Quöllfrisch emblem (via Rossmahd).
This round was conditionally demanding, but towards the end of a summer season I am usually in top shape. In the beginning the weather was sunny with a blue sky and in the course of the day the weather changed into a cloudy, foggy mood.
In total I was on the road for 7 hours. The distance of this tour (Wasserauen, Seealpsee, Meglisalp, Rossmahd, Mesmer, Aescher, Ebenalp) is about 14 kilometers. Ascent about 1500 meters of altitude - descent about 800 meters of altitude. The trail is classified as T3 (challenging mountain hiking) (mainly due to the Rossmahd).
