There is nothing quite like a hike that goes mostly to plan, which is how our 14-kilometer hike in Dilijan National Park turned out. Our day-hike turned out to be filled with Dilijan's stray dogs, rain, conversations about our least favourite things about travel and our most favourite things about travel, and really not much else! We do bump into a local Armenian cattle rancher who (we think) was looking for his cows, but overall, this hike is as calm as one can hope for when wandering through the woods!
Today we are walking a 14-kilometer section of the TransCaucasian trail which is still being developed. Once completed, this trail will run through Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan and will be more than 3000km long! Even just this small section offers beautiful views for visitors.
