Above the fjords of Norway, Hiking Kjerag, Kjerag Falls, Kjeragbolten. Spectacular Norwegian fjord views, Lysefjorden in the fall of 2020 4k60fps.
This is a video from Lysefjord in Norway, hiking Kjerag alone, Kjeragbolten and Kjerag Falls, in the fall of 2020.
"The 1,110-metre (3,640 ft) tall mountain sits on the southern shore of Lysefjorden, just southwest of the village of Lysebotn. Its northern side is a massive cliff, plunging 984 metres (3,228 ft) almost straight down to fjord, a sight which attracts many visitors each year. Another tourist attraction, the Kjeragbolten, a 5-cubic-metre (180 cu ft) stone wedged between two rocks is located on the mountain. The Kjeragfossen waterfall plunges off the mountain down to the fjord. It is one of the tallest waterfalls in the world". (Wikipedia) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kjerag.

At 55, 15 years ago, I hiked Preikostolen on a 3 week trip to Scandinavia. This brought back the best memories. You see I have COPD and so was a real accomplishment. Take away from this hike 1: no trash 2: no signs warning not to go near the edge (Norway respectively allowed for common sense) 3: the camaraderie of the people, the multi cultural aspect, despite being one of the only Americans up there and having difficulty with breathing when I got back to the bus, people clapped. I am so glad I did this as the beauty and exhilaration of feeling on top of the world will last the rest of my life. I felt this same exhilaration virtually traveling with you. Thank you.

Totally gorgeous (pun intended) scenery here, Jarl. You obviously have no fear of heights! The Kjeragbolten footage made my palms sweat. That being said, you offer views of the fjord not available being on a cruise ship. Norway indeed has some of the most unusual and beautiful geography unique to the planet. Thank you for sharing.

One of your many breathtaking videos ! Brrrrr..... I hold my heart as I watch you turning around yourself on that boulder, filming the scenery 360 gr. with your camera.... Spectacular ! The roughness of the stony plateau has an overwhelming majestatic beauty. You make us look into dizzling steep dephts. Gorgeous views of the fjord and fjells, so real as if I were "live" at your side. I never have visited Norway, but your films offer us a unique occasion. They show us your deep love to your country Norge. I'm looking forward to your next norwegian film on 16th of september !! Thanks, Jarl, from Belgium, Flanders, from our beautiful city of Ghent.

😮 !!!!!!! It’s amazing to me that for a place that “seems” to b unattainable so many ppl go there henceforth the rock formations which r beautiful ! Forgive my ignorance but I see no snow so where’s the water n the fall’s coming from ? I would LOVE to taste that water n feel all those rocks n smell the air up there. U too Jarl r amazing to b able to keep up these filmings while constant climbing. U must b n great shape but I sure ur heart n lungs n legs must burn as u keep going. But look at what u create. It’s wonderful. N bless the Sherpas ! I do believe they may b the toughest ppl on earth. Incredible ppl ! I think I would love to repel off those cliffs. Maybe not. Loooooong way down. Thank u Jarl…….for adventures such as these !!!! 🫵👍🙏🗻❤️‼️ TJ

Just love Norway. Have been there on 3 occasions and never been disappointed,well a small fib, the weather can be more miss than a hit but being from England , sort of use to it. Love the friendly people and culture. Thanks so much for the video. Good health to you.....Doesn't Lysefjorden have Pulpit Rock,that is impressive.

I really wish that KZfaq had an `awesome' button in addition to the like button. These videos, and this one in particular blow my mind. Was in Jutland a few years ago; next time, Norway.

This is great that you did a video in Norway. I’ve done several backpacking trips in Jotenheimen but I haven’t made it to the areas that you are depicting in this video yet so I especially appreciated it. You should consider being a tour guide for one of the DNT walking tours.

Thank you, I have been told that before, but not sure if being a guide is for me lol, I hope to be in Jotunheimen soon, when did you go there?

I’ve gone three times over the last five years. The hike up to Glittertinden would make for a great video. Just below Glitertinden is a little used trail along Nedre Steinbuvann Lake which can be used to make a loop along with the popular trail up to Glittertinden. The nature in some parts of Norway is so similar to Yosemite that I’ve often thought that you could teleport a Norwegian to Yosemite and he wouldn’t realize he had moved. Great job with the videos and keep up the good work.

@@collenyoung2812 Thats awesome, I am planning to go to both Glittertind and Galdhøpiggen at some point, funny that the highest mountain in Norway is only 8000ft, you really think its similar to Yosemite?
@collenyoung2812
@collenyoung2812 3 жыл бұрын
@@NorwegianXplorer Yes, Galdhopiggen is fairly low in elevation, but being on Galdopiggen feels like Mt. Everest since it is so high above the treeline. Not to mention the glaciers in Norway, which make the elevation seem higher than it actually is. Some parts of Norway look a lot like Yosemite Valley to me, especially the lower elevations around the fjords that have a lot of waterfalls and forests. Hetch Hetchy looks a lot like a fjord, even though it is a man-made lake. I look forward to your Jotenheimen video if you should choose to make one.

Great video... some incredible views... the view from the Bolt was impressive... my knees were weak just watching you standing on it... what is the water source for the waterfalls on top of the fjords..ice, springs?
@NorwegianXplorer
@NorwegianXplorer 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Gary, I am not really sure about the water source, there a a lot of lakes up there and they may be snow fed earlier in the season, the bolt was a bit sketchy because of the high winds and its a long way down lol
