Yep. Those trees were stacked by a humanonster. An elusive 2 legged creature. They have been known to stack brush up like that and lite it on fire, usually when they are cold, or having had to many beers. Be careful around those that have really red necks, they have a tendency to be a little rambunctious at times.

Your starter is trying, but not enough volts from the battery, hence alternator ?. If its the starter...., [it would have plenty of volts], but you would hear.... click, click, click. I replaced my starter on my Japanese 2006 SUV, and all Ok now. Yours might be the alternator. Not enough volts/amps/etc delivered to the starter motor to turn over that V6. I do not think its the starter. Love that Trooper... keep it.

Great vid. But, as usual, I was antsy and mildly freaked out the whole time. Every time I watch one of your Lake Mead vids I feel the same way. I don't like seeing human debris in an underwater setting and apparently that includes the Lake Mead dried up lake bottom. What really gets to me though is all that junk is staying there. My little old nurse heart wants to clean all that shit up...get all those boats and engines and barrels and cans out of there. Pollutants, one and all. Imagine if, somehow the lake filled up again. All that crap down there still, dirty-ing up the water. Sad.

Jfyi the engines were all placed there years ago foe tie off locations for house boats and other marine boats when the water levels were at those levels, then the water levels rose and obviously has fallen extremely below that level now. I want to say it was in the 80s when all the scrap motors were placed with the chains for anchor or tie off locations for boat's

The stacked trees is look very old so I would bet that it was man-made "brush pile". Fisherman will take shrubs or old Christmas trees and dump them in a certain spot because they attract fish especially when there's not a lot of other cover or habitat for small bait fish that attract bigger fish.

Check your ground lead, make sure if possible that it's hooked to something metal instead of aluminum, like the alternator bracket, aluminum doesn't ground as good as something metal, makes the engine harder to crank after it gets warm.

Uh, aluminum IS "metal" ... and it is electrically conductive. Smear a little dielectric grease on the ends of all your electrical connections so they won't corrode ... that's what the big boys do to their electronics on real marine (saltwater) environments. OR if you don't want to hunt down dielectric grease you can find it by its other name ... lanolin. The same greasy stuff on a sheep's wool. Exactly the same stuff. It'll save a lot of corrosion, a lot of grief. Manufacturers should do it if they want to develop a reputation for longevity. Corroded metals, including oxidized aluminum, have a hard time passing current through the corrosion, so carry a wire brush and clean the metal whenever it's an electrical connection ... and smear a little lanolin on it to prevent corrosion for next time. Works on battery posts too.

Can someone please explain to me the concept of using an engine block or 2 for that matter as a boat anchor? I mean it's not like a guy is just gonna pick that up casually and toss it over board then pull it back up when ready to leave?!
