HIKING PIKES PEAK || Famous Colorado 14er

Join me and my two friends as we hike our way up Pikes Peak!
Pikes Peak (Barr Trail) is ~13 miles with the beautiful summit sitting at 14,115 feet and ~7,000ft of climbing. Essentially a hiking half marathon!
We conquered the mountain terrain and enjoyed incredible views and trail snacks and the stoke was HIGH, most of the time. :)

Me and a friend did the Pikes Peak half marathon in the 80's from Wichita at 1,000 ft. Ele. @ Wichita to 14,110 at the finish line. Something I will always remember !

Amazing video! Me and some friends are doing this hike in July. I can't wait! What clothing options do you suggest? We're from sunny Oklahoma, so we're used to the wind.

Awesome video! We did the Manitou Incline this summer but want to go back and do Pikes Peak next year. Was wondering if you have a recommended gear list?

@doclyssfitness great vid, planning this as our first 14er (ever). We're fit, but not trail runners, and y'all looked pretty gassed! You mentioned stopping to fill up water, but from what I've read there's no potable water on the Barr trail. Am I wrong? ALSO, I'm a powerlifter but ramping up my cardio in preparation. Any tips? Thanks!

Hi! Did you book a roundtrip ticket for the cog railway? It says you cannot book single way tickets ad that round trip ones where you don't go up the train will be voided. Just curious if you experienced this? Thanks!

I think we got a round trip and then just rode it down. My friend set it up though. They let us on an earlier train too and didn’t t have an issue
