A fine mountain great memories of it and with the crampons and ice axe and staying in the bothy when I was in Aberdeen Uni Lairaig club. Stay safe respect those fine Munroes.

Nice one Robin. Surprised at you going up such a busy hill 😂 Always remember that mountain as well as it was my first winter walk with an amazing fresh dump of snow just a few days before it. I was a total rookie , didn't even have gaiters at the time 😂😂😂

Top drawer Robin. This is a watch again jobbie. Planned to do that route years ago and stopped on the way back from Fort William at the same layby, very similar conditions to your day too. My friends said they were too knackered/ lazy to do it. I was fuming all the way back to Newcastle!

Still not done Stob Dearg myself but I will hopefully be going there this year. Got to say there were some nice looking camping spots around the 7:30 to 8 minute mark. Your comments about the views down Glen Etive from the second Munro are bang on though. I did Stob Dubh and done the same as you and Kev and dropped off the summit for an uninterrupted view and it was worth it. Some helpful advice along the way Robin as well. Hopefully the weather stays good this summer! Last weekend was fantastic. ATB Gaz

Nice one Robin! Really enjoyed that. The Buachaille is an absolute favourite of mine. Ive been blessed with great weather both times I’ve done it and the views are absolutely stunning. That is a tricky wee descent coming under Stob Coire Altruim & its a joy to get down to the Lairig😃 Look forward to the next vid and ATB. Andy.

Cheers Andy. Has to be one of my favourites too. Great being up on that ridge for a decent few hours. Just don't quite get that with the Corbetts. I remember the path down under SCA being quite treacherous, loose rock everywhere. NTS have done a good job.

Yes it a bit of a challenge alright. Funny enough I was staying at the Kingshouse with my missus last weekend. The weather was unbelievable especially on the Sunday so you really hit on. Stay safe out there bud.👌

Nicely done Robin and Kev. What a day you guys got for this. This route was one of my early ones back in summer 2018 and did my first “video” of this with mainly stills on iMovie. My gear and software has evolved since then and the rest as they say is history. Great hike and still one of my favs! 👍

Another great 🎥 Robin. 👍 Sunday was a superb day to be out on the hills. I was revisiting Beinn Dorain & Beinn an Dothaidh after 24 yrs since my last visit, so was just down the road from you & Kev. If you'd not changed your plans might have met you on the hill! ATB Derek

Stunning walk and what a good day you had for it too. You're very lucky to live within exploring distance, I need to get back up to the Highlands as they are truly epic. I live on the edge of the Lakes (which is nice) but those valleys and peaks are something else

Well worth watching Robin. A proper mountain day out. A lot of false summits if you like - I mean the remaining Munro's kind of hide out of view. Fantastic views - yeah goosebumps. It's easy to see why. As for the descent I don't blame you at all for being safe. One moment of arragence and the days ruined. Well, good stuff. Hey, I've camped in Glen Etive. That was cool to see. Wonderful video Robin. I do love the Beauchaille, it was my Mums favourite mountain so it always has a special place in my heart. My Dad and I reach it’s summit the other year on what would have been her 70th Birthday. It was a special day in deed, and we had lovely weather too. Rannoch Moor is so so impressive from up there. Have to agree Robin the view over Rannoch Moor is something special. That down path is a wee bit nervy in less than ideal weather, I've watched people go down using their a*#e cheeks as clamps😂

Love this. Being from Ireland it's great to see the names. I can understand most of the meanings, just some of the spelling is a bit exotic. Great stuff, a pint or two would seal the day!

Seems really complicated with all these paths etc. I'm desperate to do this, not because I'm a keen hill-walker, the opposite actually. However, I have photographed this mountain, many many times and would just love to conquer it. I've been up Cobbler a couple of times and Ben Lomond 3 or 4 times. Like I say, walking is not my thing but I love a challenge and I love the feeling of accomplishment when getting to the top. I'm just a bit concerned about the complexity and directions. Any suggestions what would make it easier for me me to do this? Thanks for the video. I hope I find the balls to do it.

Hey mate, save it for a really good day when the sun is shining and you'll be fine. If you're not confident with route finding and or map reading then download the Walkhighlands App, then save the walk on the app. It shows where you are on the map and will show if you're veering off course. www.walkhighlands.co.uk/app.php
