Hiking the Devil's Path, Catskills NY

2 жыл бұрынThree of us hiked the 24.4 mile Devil's Path on August 28 and 29, 2021. We went east to west, starting at Prediger Road in Elka Park, NY and finishing at Spruceton Road in West Kill, NY.

I did half of the DP on a lark 20 years ago and it is a leg destroyer.

i heard that this path goes near the summit of overlook mountain hiked overlook mountain as a kid in the Catskills back in 2001 and vaguely remember seeing the signs for the devils path

That's right. Overlook Mountain is close to the east end of the Devil's Path trail and there are trails that connect the two.

Ryan exited the trail like a boss lol the other guy was more my speed. “ the trail was too easy so the gods gave us rain” lol EPIC. I’m guessing the wet surface was why there was no film coming down twin lol. Also this video is the most misleading on KZfaq, you made it look soooooooo easy. I’m huffing with my tounge hanging out begging for a break. Great job and very enjoyable video :) Awesome job !!!!

Thanks, glad you liked it. That trail was rough but I'm so glad we did it. Type 2 fun for sure.
