With exercise restrictions lifted, Trev finally decides to make it up to Dartmoor's Highest Tor's, High Willhays and Yes Tor (among others) in yet another lockdown hiking video with viewers photos.
Since the nation has been self-isolating and the outdoors has been on Lockdown, Trev from Summit or Nothing has been fortunate enough to be able to walk onto the moor from his front door, and was always tempted to reach the highest tor's that Dartmoor has to offer. Well, now the Prime Minister has relaxed the rules of exercise slightly, Trev finally has the high tors of Dartmoor in sight, High Willhays, Yes Tor. Stay tuned afterwards for some fantastic photographs sent in by his viewers of walks local to them in a new segment that Trev likes to call viewers photo's.

A walk I always wanted to do, but age caught up with me, thank you Trev. I've walked quite a bit of the south moor but it didn't quite match up to the north. I love the whole of Dartmoor full stop.

I think alot of people are thinking the same Trevor.. Boris may have lifted restrictions on exercise and travelling within England, but I, like you and many others are still not travelling.. Great video as usual.. 👍👍

Yep, old Boris making it as clear as mud. He probably made the ridiculous 'unlimited travel' rule because he saw the Dominic Cummings scandal coming 😂.

Me and two of my dogs walked from our house - Meldon - Yes tor (via the south,the lungs were burning let me tell you😥)- Willhays then to Black down passed the camp on Sunday we covered 9.5 miles. A beautiful 3 and a half hours very well spent. Keep well and thanks for the upload i look forward to the next one.👏🏼👍👍👍 Adders! I am man enough to say that they frighten the bejesus out of me......🤣😂🤣😂

We are just stopping local as well, for another couple of weeks, got a couple of quiet, flat walks at are about 10 miles away, so may do a couple of these this week. Loved the shot of and the shout of 'Summit or Nothing' at the top - great views all around. Adders on a hot sunny day on the Moors is always a bit of a worry, especially when you are on your todd. I always wear boots but Mrs Metalman prefers her walking saddles, which is an additional worry, I must remember to tell her to stomp, next time we are on the Moors. Real nice walk out and good to hear there were no mare radical comments lol! Favourite photo have to be the dog looking at the Bluebells by Izzy S. Cheers Alan

Brilliant stuff. I'm going insane at home so these kinda vids help. Just can't wait til I get out camping again - I love a hike and have been on a few local ones but just not quite the same experience for me as walking into the actual wilderness and spending the night. Thanks Trev!

I did a circular route of Shelstone Tor’s,Branscombe Loaf,Kitty Tor,Green Tor,Bleak House,Dunna Goats,Great Links Tor and back to the car via Sourton Tor’s last Thursday....absolutely stunning up there and good for the soul to be back out on the Moor. I must admit I drove from the north of Plymouth ( not a long drive ) and kept away from everyone. It was good to get my fix at last. Great vid....as usual👍🏻

I share your fear of adders, Trev! I often try to remind myself that they probably hear us coming long before we might see them... Then I see a photo on Facebook from someone's who got up close to them "basking in the sun" on a rock somewhere!! I only knowingly seen one and that was on the edge of a village, where something in the shadow moved, hissed and thankfully continued away from me! Thanks for another good video. Good to see other people about on the moor as well. All the best!
@SummitOrNothing
@SummitOrNothing 4 жыл бұрын
Yea, I think they tend to not want to see us - I saw two in one day on the coast path before and they were quick to escape - but they can give a nasty bite if you surprise one so, I decided stomping was the best way to deter them as I had momentarily slipped off the beaten track. Take care Olly and thanks for watching!

lol, stop apologising, the South Moor is bleak! Ignore offended people. I saw that trek you did with the chest-high hillocks, that was a chaotic landscape. And the moor tends to be more lacking in tors near the centre/south. More dramatic east/west, more crowded in east.
