Hello folks. I decided to take a walk up Whernside, the highest peak in the Yorkshire Dales at 736m. It was a hot and sticky day so I took it slow, probably one of my slowest walks!

Great walk Carrie. I do like Whernside, though as I still subscribe to the proper county boundaries, I'm glad the mighty Mickle got a mention. Hope you had a nice birthday too. 🙂

Hi Chris, Mickle Fell is on my list of walks to do do for the channel, never been up that one. It's a nice easy walk up Whernside and the views are stunning :D

Happy birthday for yesterday! Despite it being the highest peak, it is much more gentle than Ingleborough and Pen-y-Ghent. Also less boggy, with the good path. Thanks for sharing.

Well done👏👏💪💪 What a beautiful day. You look young and don't need all the make up. Much younger than 50. Sorry to hear about the driver, well said👍 what a plonker he is. That trig looked a little battered chunk missing. You had amazing views and captured it all so well. Great job👍👋❤️

Thanks Jamie, yeah I get a bit annoyed with silly drivers so I thought I'd leave my little rant in the video! That trig has seen better days, fab views from up there and a pretty easy walk when it's not boiling hot :D

Happy Birthday Carrie...looking much younger than 50 [ i thought you were around 30 ]..What a lovely place to celebrate your birthday...I too have given up makeup especially in this hot weather...Well said on the Knob head rant [ there is always one ]...why can't people just slow down?..a classic route...that old trig is looking more and more battered as the years go by...stunning views on descent, this is why we go out walking.

Thanks Steven, I'm glad you've given up on the make-up- lipstick with a beard is a frightful combination! Yeah, seems to be a lot of angry drivers these days everywhere you go, people need to chill out. It's a great route up Whernside, such an easy path to follow :D

Hi Carrie, nice way to spend your birthday, must have walked it in the week looked like you had it to yourself, cant help but walk up Whernside slow its a long old drag but the views are spectacular, anyways enjoy the weekend cheers nigel

Nice one Carrie. I wild camped on Whernside-6. Good you sunscreened up. (Don’t forget tops of ears and calves😉) Well said re the idiot driver. I know that road well.

Thanks Pete, yeah seems some people drive on that road (B6255) like bloody idiots but there's no police around there and no speed cameras in the dales at all so it's to be expected!
