I remember you well. Hope you enjoyed it. You will love the Jatbula. I saw a recent video and my it has changed since I last walked it, looks like they moved the trail to the best spots. Enjoy.

Im planning on hiking this E2E next month and im curious if you found E > W more enjoyable / scenic ? I would like to go E > W and finish at Mt Sonder but logistically it might be trickier plan.

I chose w2E for a couple of reasons. The wind would blow west to east plus I had a definite transport day but could finish early in Alice Springs if I wanted to. Less people it seems go W to E so you can luck campsites that easterners don't normally stop at but you don't run into the same people at campsites as you might going west. As for the views I enjoyed looking both ways to make sure I captured the views that is not forgetting to look back. But you do come across the tour groups going West but there there then gone instead of maybe having them always in front of you. Enjoy the cold weather next month.cheers
