In this video we hike the trail to Neltjeberg Beach on St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands.
The Caribbean island of St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands is full of beautiful beaches. Sometimes the more popular beaches can be crowded, especially when a cruise ship is in port. In our travels we enjoy experiencing all types of beaches, but we tend to be drawn to the more secluded experiences. That is one reason why we love visiting Neltjeberg Beach!
In this episode we share how to find this hidden gem on St. Thomas. Footage includes where the trail starts, the condition of the trail and what path NOT to take if you are trying to get to Neltjeberg. We also talk about the different ways to access Neltjeberg and show you why we enjoy it so much!
We visited Neltjeberg Beach while on a week long Caribbean cruise. St. Thomas was our last stop before the ship returned to Puerto Rico. Thanks for the shout out. I miss hiking down to the various secluded beaches. St Thomas will forever be home to LRM and myself. Really wish we were there when you and Skylar were there. NEW VIDEO! YAY! Sorry we're late, it's been super crazy! Another hidden gem and looks so nice!!! OMG BEE! This hike is so crazy! Really feels like you are in the jungle. I think we would have probably decided to drive, but there is water everywhere. I never knew there was a thing called ROCK SCRAMBLING! LOOKS SO NICE when you get to that secluded beach though! If this was us, we would have just completely gotten lost.

We need to catch up on your channel too 😊 Thankfully for this hike there were some great videos and blogs to show how to get there. We were just silly and didn't look at the directions before starting on the trail! Oh well it was still a fun experience!

Yea it was so silly. We had written down that we needed to go left, but got caught up in the moment. We really need to invest in some dual purpose shoes for these kinds of trips. We want flip flops for the beach, but always want to go to beaches that require hiking 😆 the struggle is real. Thanks for watching!

The beach so looks worth it for the effort that you went to get there. I have a 4wdrive so I must admit it does open some options to where you can go, but nice you can still get somewhere if you don't have it. I really love those bent over Palm trees...certainly does look like a deserted island

We are definitely not above admitting the (many) blunders we make while traveling 😂. Some of our favorite discoveries have come from taking a wrong turn though, so we don't mind getting a little bit lost now and then!

Seeing that road surface, it definitely seems like you guys made the right choice to walk through the vegetation rather than try to drive! Have been to St. Thomas so many times but never been to Neltjeberg it looks beautiful!

Haha we recently took a hike and it was a similar situation where people online said to go left at the fork but the right side of the fork looked heavily trafficked. Anyways, the beach looks stunning ! I wouldn’t have minded visiting the “wrong beach” as well 😂

The beach looks amazing to me. I love sand, sea, and palm trees. Definitely sounds like an adventure to get there, I don't think I'd try the rock scramble though.

How long did the hike itself take?

We've hiked it twice now. The first time took us around 20 minutes. The second time we had some older people with us but they were still able to make it just fine and in right around 30 minutes.
