We hiked the trail to the Guadalupe Peak, the highest point in the state of Texas, on March 31, 2023. This was our first big hike of the 2023 hiking and backpacking season for us.
This hike is an approximately 8.4 mile round-trip hike, and on this day, the area was under a strong wind advisory with gusts up to 75 mph. At times it knocked us to our knees! This is just a short recap of our hike, but beautiful and worth it!
