Thanks again to Blackwood Outdoors for the loan of this excellent scope for my/our impartial independent review. Here there’s more comparative footage, including watching rabbits in a trailer park (no rifle, no shooting), then I go through the Alpex’ menu functions.
Still to come in part #3/#3: Bruce made some discoveries about the Alpex' performance in 'near-dark' conditions, then I use the Alpex with its own LED IR on some local rat control, plus test it with an auxiliary 850nm and 940nm IR torch (Brinyte T28 Artemis).

Hi Russ, thanks for a great video.. I just got that Alpex A50 -T on Saturday.. and been playing around with it.. I've almost sussed it out thanks to your video.. it really helped me out a lot.. 👍👍 it's my first night vision scope... I've still to try that out yet . No worries Russ.. the video was of great help.. so thanks for that 👍👍 I got a question for you, see when your charging the scope with the USB lead, do you charge the scope when the scope is turned off.. and until the red light turns to green.. I read the manual, and got a bit confused 😂😂or am I being a dumb ass 🤣🤣👍🤟✌️

HI Russ, thanks for the link to the charger, it looks like a good piece of kit👍👍👍 sorry Russ to bother you again 🫣🫣🫣😀 do you charge the internal battery 18650 3.6/3350 mAh and put it in the scope.. and I'm I being a dumb ass again.. 😀😀 is there something I am missing??? Hello Russ, really good quality image on the Hik' mate, bit heavy so I'd have to use it on my little custom Snoop K9, probably be a NATS under 3kg total, though it looks easier to operate than most, thanks for the education & quality review mate, Best Regards Jon 👍 HETV 👍

I’m trying to find out but had no luck can you help, it is about the first focal plane Ret. Is this true Milradian or MOA? Also what’s the measurements between marks on the Ret, i.e. is this 1 full Mil between marks? So can this Ret be used for holdovers? Love to get a answer on this. Oh great video thanks Iain

Another great review. Does the new sun shade on the Pard 008s make it zero focus like on the DS35, it looks like it will do the same job. I was thinking of getting one and wondered if it was worth it. Thanks

Hi Colin, I usually just record direct to the onboard memory and haven't used the App yet. On my perms if I pull a phone out at night the pests would scarper when they see the light from the screen. Cheers. Russ

Hi. I have a question for you. I purchased a Alpex A50T, but I am no finding any way to use that flashing light range finder kind of setting. Are you using an external LRF or does this model hide this function somewhere? Thanks in advance.

Hi, the A50T doesn't come with a rangefinder, and I've never seen a HIKMICRO compatible LRF as an accessory. The only Alpex I know-of with an LRF is the brand new Alpex4K, which has an integrated LRF on the upper edge of the objective lens. We hope to review one soon. Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ

I've got the alpex you can record menu if you record from phone WiFi app . Im still looking for a good ir as the salaris srx is now wide to fill screen but hoping that someone test some out and let me know the best 1 for it . Good video keep them coming

Great video But the question on everyones lips Is the pulsar digex C50 worth the extra over the Hik alpex ? When parting with our hard earned what's the reality daytime- dusk- night ? C50-alpex what's your honest if you've had the chance to compare them ? When will there be a complete honest showdown between these two in all the above mentioned scenarios ? If that could happen it would be great

Hi Russ I'm taking the alpex out Wednesday to try and sort out the crosshairs problem I get ,when in zoom 1 ffp my crosshairs is way over to the right, but when zoomed to 2 and 4 they are central, so I had to zerro on 2 as 1 was way to far over to the right, I have been told to try zerroing at 4 and then do it again on 4 and this should make them all 1 ,2 ,and 4 central to my screen, FINGERS CROSSED, all the best buddy Wayne Wilson

Hi Wayne, hmm that's a new one on me. The only quirk I found was that the scope moved off target when I pressed the left (jog dial) turret to freeze the image; so I found squeezing across both horizontal turrets between thumb & forefinger avoided that. 👍 Good luck, cheers. Russ

Well I wouldn't say that and I've had both my Pard 008S-LRFs' side caps off in slightly damp weather, just not when it's actually raining. Sadly no design is perfect. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Cheers. Russ
