Hilarious day exploring Saida, Lebanon!

Күн бұрынDisclaimer: this video was filmed in May 2021. My friends and I went to Saida (or Sidon), Lebanon for the day. We didn't go to the typical tourist spots, as we were with our local, adventurous friend Abdallah. We started the day off at the beach, where we tried horse surfing, very funny experience especially for Adam! Then we went to the old part of Saida for a hilarious Turkish bath, at Hammam Al Sheikh, one of the last few remaining public hammams in Saida. We had some fresh falafel for lunch and went on a boat ride to the little Island off the coast of the city, and ended the day exploring the ancient Temple of Echmoun. Overall a fun day out, not too hectic, as the next days of our 30-day Lebanon Series are going to be very intense... stay tuned for more!

I’m going to Lebanon in two more weeks and I plan to vlog my experience there. I can’t wait. :) By the way, my village is literally a 2 minute drive from Saida, it’s very close!

So much to do! But I recommend staying in Beirut and then renting a car and visiting the rest of the country because that’s where the amazing things are! Message me on insta if you want more details :)

Actually I'm Lebanese and I tell you stay somewhere between Byblos or batroun they're much more beautiful at night specially in summers and Christmas time and they're near all the beautiful mountains destinations you'll finish beirut in few hours and a guesthouse or airbnb apartment between Byblos batroun or even jounieh would be way better and also safer

Ok , thank you for your reply , I would love to go to Lebanon with my wife but if I may ask you , do you think it’s safe in Lebanon now ?, I mean like certain areas like Beirut ?, and to travel the centre of Lebanon , oh , sorry , I’m Darren from Essex and my wife is Paphawee from Thailand .

This was filmed back in May, and I know the situation in Lebanon is getting worse by the day, which is why I hesitated in posting this video. Apologies if this came across as incentive but my intentions are to show the cultural and historical richness of Saida & Lebanon, and share a message of positivity and hope! ❤️

The country is dying ... actually I have to send money to my friend in Saida and other families so they can est ... It is not ok to post how much fun you have had when people are suffering ... and they were suffering in may already

Hey, I totally understand where you're coming from, and I've thought about whether or not to post this video a lot. This video was filmed in May, when the situation in Lebanon was still better than now, even though it was already deplorable... I want to share it regardless because I want to spread positivity and hope, and remind us of the good things in this country, like our incredibly rich history and culture! Apologies if this came across as insensitive but I hope you understand that my intentions were always to spread a positive message about Lebanon! It's become my home ❤️
