I'm not even a huge fan of her, but I think she's really inspiring, and that she's an amazing person. I would love to see more from her :)

i LOVE this book!!!!

@RachLiefde Rach, Elise Allen basically wrote this whole novel. Yes Hilary had some ideas but she hired Elise to write it for her. And do you know what, I've never ever seen Duff even mention or acknowledge Elise on any interview. That is what it is about. It's brand marketing and cloaking the truth. It wasn't just edited... it was co written - mostly by Elise. So do some research please. As Hilary says, "I didn't even go to high school." Elise is a great writer... check out some of her work.

The next book comes out in April can't wait

This book was the best book I have ever read. Amazing, I say she is a much better writer than actress and singer, although I do love most of her movies. Writing is something she needs to stick with whether it is adding to this series or beginning a whole other story. Love it!

@norma75 (a) She didn't write the book. It was largely penned by pro writers and she is a brand used in marketing the book. (b) If you listen to the interview she explains it is part of a two part series so you will no doubt get conned into buying the sequel produced by her team.

@CaraBrimleyRules Believe what you want, but she did write it. Yes, she had help from Elise, but many authors do. She told Ellen Degeneres about it and the process she went through writing it, through renevations of her house, and on the road. Through interviews, you can clearly see her personality in her work. And she mentions her in THIS VIDEO 1:50 "We came up with clea" then she talks about "when I created the characters they didn't have names" she was HOME SCHOOLED

@CaraBrimleyRules If you know anything about writing and publishing, you understand that a lot of people read through a piece of work and edit it to make it better. Yes, in interviews she does adknowledge the people who helped her write it, but isn't that better than denying them credit? It was an amazing book, I look forward to the sequel. I know that Hilary Duff did write it, it was her book, her ideas, and if you've read the book you can clearly see her personality flows through Clea.

@RachLiefde She didn't write the book, don't you get it? She's just a brand used in marketing the book. You can see she gives it away when she starts talking about "we" naming the characters and "we start writing". She may have done a few bits but you can bet your bottom dollar that professional writers in her entourage totally reworked it. What's more it sells, because people are totally taken in by the whole brand marketing charade.

I know it says that but Snooki also said she wrote her book with a co-writer as did the Kardashians and Lauren Conrad. Snooki's publishing company later admitted that the co-writer did most if not all of the work for it.

@CaraBrimleyRules And sure she had help a lot of people do have help. Hell she said she wasn't even certain what she wanted to do with it. She pondered pitching the idea to a director, writing her own screen play, or a book. Regardless it is amazing, and it is her book. Obviously someone is very jealous of this book, or you wouldn't be arguing against me. If you don't like it or my ideas don't read and respond to the comments simple. I am a writer and this book is top on my favorites by far.

@RachLiefde Elise's name is not on the book because it would not sell as many like that. Can't you see it? I don't know why you even asked this question. It is about sales & money & brand. Hilary is a writer the same way as Victoria Beckham is a fashion designer. She has a passing association and the marketing people do the rest. Elise is not going to make a song & dance about it as she has been paid and has contractual obligations. But it's basically a stitch up to cash in where they can.

Sure lots of people have co writers and she did, but not enough to the point where her name is on the book. watch that interview because she definitely mentions her. Sorry, I am a writer, and I completely belive if she had that big of a part in it, it would have been her novel, not Hilary's, or her name would have at least been on it.

@CaraBrimleyRules Hilary Duff Adds to Her Resume With New Book is a good interview where clearly you can see she wrote it. She says Elise mentored her and added to her ideas in other interviews. If Elise is such a good author and established why would her name not be on the book? Why would she give full credit to someone else, a new writer wanting to get big may but not someone already established. I'm not a Duff fan, trust me if i had any doubts that she didnt write it I wouldn't defend it.

Her voice changed, I can only remember the almost high-pitched voice of hers, but, that's just from watching too much Lizzie McGuire from childhood. xD; I love her, I'm glad I actually found a good idol in my childhood. :D

The ending was so stupid, she calls the savior people, so naturally they come, they come in with guns, then Ben comes in, then they take Sage, then she blames Ben for bringing attention to himself and saying the police were coming, when she was the one who called the Savior people in the first place, and she blames Ben, so stupid, yeah great writing Hilary.

You know, is actually quite easy to write a book.. you just write a really good story, and then you higher editors to edit it.. is not like she wrote it and we're getting the raw copy.. Hilary definetely wrote it.. many people are brilliant writers so why can't she be one..
