This clip was part of a Cartoon Network special in the early 2000s, a countdown of musical pieces from various cartoons. It was hosted by Tom Kenny, and the backup dancers from "Do The Bear" were featured in the commercial promo. I don't really remember seeing the original episode back when The Atom Ant Show was re-running in syndication(as part of The Banana Splits & Friends), so that was a real treat, to see it for the first time. And now, thanks to those who post on KZfaq, I can see it pretty much whenever I want. I love America!🇱🇷🎆

Powerpuff Girls??

Not exactly sure who the first was, but there was anticipation this song might make it to the radio and pop charts, as had songs by Ricky Nelson, Shelly Fabares and Paul Peterson, and whoever else there might have been. No idea what made the cartoons decide they stood a chance tho. Only one who did get songs on the charts that I'm aware of was The Archies, with Sugar Sugar. Eep Op Ork Ah ah was the Jetsons' entry. You Need Us from 'the Honeybees' on Gilligan's Island. Flintstones had several attempts. The three daughters with Sheila Ruehl on Petticoat Junction were supposed to do a Beatles takeoff, calling themselves the Ladybugs. Later cartoons did likewise, such as Where's Huddles (I Wanna Play Football With You, Dear) and Hair Bear Bunch, I've never been able to decipher the song there. The Partridge Family did get songs on the radio, so of course we had to have the Brady Kids singing left and right, didn't we? I think it would die down, then Ernie from Sesame Street singing 'Rubber Ducky' broke the top 20 on the pop charts, Believe It Or not, It's Just Me from Greatest American Hero reached #1, What Did You Think I Would Say At This Moment from Family Ties reached #1, How Do You Talk To An Angel? reached #1. This is what they were all wanting with these 1960s efforts. Scooby-Doo and Josie and the Pussycats tried, never succeeded. I understand a song from the Groovie Goolies was redone and made the charts, however.
