When you steer motorcycle you don't turn the handlebars use lien the faster you're going around the corner the more the bike has to lean down to allow it to corner without coming out from under you of course there is a point there were you can get too low low side on your exhaust and end up in the oncoming Lanes

I feel so bad for the people who gave Hillbilly the Harley (nothing is worse, IMO, then doing something exceptionally generous and kindhearted and having it blow up in La Grande). Their hearts were absolutely in the right place and life happened. They continue to be my heros.

I am amazed at Robbys continuos optimism through all the stops, brakedowns, fixes,fuelings etc....I know from personal long haul riding that such things as those can crush ones soul. Hillbilly is holding his "sh*te" together very admirably ..... no doubt that he is suffering inside ... all I can say from my brakedowns on the side of the road is that ...BETTER DAYS AHEAD Amigo.
@Grayhook1
@Grayhook1 Жыл бұрын
Better days ahead for sure! I blew the rear cylinder exhaust flange off my ‘62, caught fire and pushed it three miles to an off ramp that had enough light to wire it enough to run. Got it home and rebuilt it. I had seven years of daily riding with no problems (except a blown tire) after that. Enjoy it!

I'm so happy for Hillbilly. This Harley is absolutely perfect for him to wrench on, fix the flaws, and make his own. Something new he'd feel bad about changing, kinda like the Trekkers nice paint. This Harley even has a good backstory, with the fan giving it to him, and it seems like _everything_ Hillbilly drives needs one.

I hope they don't feel bad at all. The bike had 97K miles on it and it was understood that there would be issues with anything that had that much use. I very much enjoy when Hillbilly shows us what he's doing and explains why and what's going on. The bike clearly still has some sort of electrical problem, tho, as the back lights blink, perhaps in time with the vibration (headlight looked ok, tho). A loose ground wire could be impacting other stuff. Of course, I'm hardly qualified to diagnose this, so am VERY MUCH looking forward to the rebuild series with advice from Bikes and Beards!

Great vids, Mr Layton. Glad you and Hillbilly work well together. And your boss who has been a part of your vids is the sweetest nicest little lady. Your vids definitely appear to be fancier Hollywood works of art when she’s a part.

HB ! I ride a 2005 Dyna Low Rider which is gonna be buried with my coffin bro ... Take it all apart and put it back together, so you know what you got. Bless the Fan who gave it to you, and Robby and Boss were so much fun on on this trip !! Everyone needs an Uncle Stan !

I agree, this was fun to watch, very entertaining. It also highlights the love of your friends, relatives, and fans. Keep up the excellent content. In 1974, after graduation, my college roommate and I, took an 8000 mile motorcycle trip from Houston, Texas to Jasper, Alberta, by way of Youngstown, Ohio. Our bikes were only a few years old, and well maintained. We still had a few "adventures" along the way. Thanks for bringing back those memories of fun times. PS they weren't Harleys

I rode my Honda cb 450 , 1974 model, from minniapolis to home at Eatonvillle Washington in 1987. Then my 9 yr old son and I rode it from home to Yuma Arizona in 1988. What a hoot.

As a Harley-Davidson "wannabe aficianado", Hillbilly is probably loving all the wrenching he's having to do on his "new-to-him" Harley. Having owned a few myself, I have experienced his "joy" on many, many occasions, including on a brand new Road King. Glad he's enjoying his new toy!
