Sac state university, (Located in Ca.). For myself, It has been the college that is really the most depressing to hear about. As the world is watching this college ‘Bending to the commands of a few.’ ‘Over the Safety of many.’ And, With all the outside Foreign influences. < I’VE NEVER SEEN ‘ANYTHING LIKE IT.’ And I’ve never been ‘So discussed.’ (Gavin Newsom canceled the State Christmas tree lighting. ‘Due to the threat to the taxpayer’s safety that these individuals cause.’ How much more of this must we endure?).

Grand Canyon is a very different kind of institution relative to Hillsdale. Hillsdale is a traditional liberal arts school with an ungrad population of 1,500, and a graduation rate of 85%. Just in the last 15 years, Grand Canyon has gone from a small Baptist school of 1,000 students to a for-profit institution of over 100,000 students (over 90% are online), and a graduation rate of under 50%. At this point, rightly or wrongly, GC is often accused of being a "diploma mill." But maybe this charge is misplaced, and maybe you know folks who've had a good experience at GC.

Stop calling it "education". It is credentialism, schooling if you wish. This is especially true for the modern humanities and social science as you get education from honing yourself on a hard body of knowledge. You learn some along the way, but "Education, properly a drawing forth, implies not so much the communication of knowledge as the discipline of the intellect, the establishment of the principles, and the regulation of the heart" is developed, not given.

I was a contributor to hillsdale from about 2014 til about 2021, still read Imprimis occasionally, it seems as larry is aging, like many people, that his facial features are kind of contorting in different ways than would be expected. He's done a lot of hard work for alternative K12 schools but it's obvious that it's a losing battle in public schools that most working class people in America are stuck with sending their children to. That don't seem to be very concerning to anybody in this political theatre except the people that count on it, from either side of this govt paradigm.
