It's easier than what you think , catching catfish mate , and if you do not get one first time , just keep trying it will happen , I would bring 3 rods if your allowed, so bait ?? Catfish rely on there sense of smell cause there eye sight is rubbish, they can smell food items from quite a distance, so you have to smelly baits , fishy and meaty bait, I use big halibut pellets around 14mm , if your fishing for smaller cats , in your spod mix, fishy liquids over them , cut some meat into big cubes, cats love any meat, spam is good , also chirzo, put that in the mix, and use it as bait as well, normally cats hang out in deeper holes in the lake , and closer in to the margins and snags , were they can hide , hope this helps ! Yeh it's a shame mate, what's going on in the uk and world! Its gona take alot of patience to see this out.But be worth it in the end, with all these fisherys being rested , the fishing will be exceptional when we get the all clear🎣🎣

Hi mate , I used 8mm and 14mm dinamite marine halibults, also throw in some chopped spam , with your free bait, dont be shy on the quantity that you bait up with , there big cats remember ,so they need feeding , good luck , and tight lines mate

Hope you catch buddy, 👌 yeh last time I was there the bottom wasn't a problem , its was muddy & clay, there was few weeds around the edges like , and up too the island the was lily's, so cats like that protection , so Fish up too the sides of island, under the lillys , try to intice a cat out of there hiding hole, good luck mate, and tight lines
