The lyrics is so deep, I cried listening to this song yesterday and woke up singing it this morning. This song revived my spiritual life yesterday. I was going down, but this song reminded me that he was still there with me even when I wasn't aware.

This song reminds me of the time I gave my life to Jesus. Those micro moments they called “glimmer” where your heart bursts in nothing but awe with God’s love, when your lips wants nothing but worship. This is this song.

I thought this song was about discovering God in small pieces, almost like the size of dust, as you're maturing as a Christian. It almost feels like that these pieces of dust are actually pieces of you and pieces of God at the same time and the more that you discover about God, the more you are actually discovering about who you are to God. And together during the whole process, you are both putting the pieces together, in a glimmer of light and dust at the same time. That's what makes this song really stand out, is that there is this huge philosophical idea behind these lyrics.

I don't care if people rejected me because "I know there's a place I belong where I see the fullness of love". When God has fully filled you with himself, you don't care people's acceptance because there's a greater acceptence to reach, and that's when we say "I know you love me and your love never fails me"

We can't describe how beautiful and marvelous will be the day when we'll be together with God. However I think you don't need to wait till that to see the glory of God in your life. He offered us eternal life through Jesus' sacrifice, but He also gave us everything with Him, including peace and the confidence of knowing that He is in control and in Him we can find consolation (Isaiah 61:1-6). Take Heart!

Such a beautiful song, and praise. ❤ I can feel and see this praise, even before hearing your story. The first time this all clicked for me was when I went to Monte Alban, and over heard the tour guide, explain how the glimmering fragments/specks on the ground were once used to bedazzle the pyramids and buildings throughout the empire. As I looked over, all there was left was glimmering dirt, fragments of minerals that reflected the suns light.

We are already fully known by God. I think Joel meant to say we will fully know God when we go to heaven. We will fully be aware of the kingdom of God when Christ returns.

é difícil você escolher qual a melhor canção do Hillsong United/Worship, todas "colam" rápidas na mente, mas a Glimmer In The Dust, essa tem um toque especial, principalmente no coro (parte final) onde as vozes dos "Back" se misturam um coral, arrepiando todos, fazendo uma performance que lembra a boa e velha banda, Pink Floyd ❤ Amazing!!!
