The Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort is perhaps the most famous hotel in all of Hawaii, making it a popular choice for both American and international tourists. Located right on Waikiki Beach, and the home of Elvis for many years, the resort has a lot of history on Oahu. Come with me as I take you around every public space at the hotel, including all the pools, beaches, ports, and lagoons, as well as a look at my room at the Rainbow Tower, the most famous of the towers at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort. I was actually there when Elvis filmed his special. We were given passes to see it live. It was awesome. It did seem a lot fancier then, but we have all become a little jaded. I been back 2 more times. There is a lot of new additions, and some things are gone. It still my favorite place. If you can get a 1/2 day trip from a local who knows the history and can show you the real Hawaii. ❤

Really accurate. I’ve been going here for years. Thanks for the memories. Towels are one of the best features. You just swap them out for fresh everyday.

Thank you for this comprehensive tour. We will be staying here in June to attend our nephew's retirement celebration on D Day (30 year Marine/pilot). He suggested this property. We'll also be going on the NCL's Pride of America cruise. I requested an ocean view room in the Rainbow Tower. Any other tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

There’s an NCL desk at the hotel- so might make the transfer to the ship a little easier. Glad this tour helped you! Definitely head next door to the Hale Koa for some drinks!

Thanks I really enjoyed the video. I am going there for a conference in a couple of weeks and wanted to get a lay of the land. We are staying for 9 days so good to know everything going on. Just wondering if the luau area has a beach view? You mentioned that it is on the roof of the conference center but don't recall actually seeing it. Also, did you attend the luau there and if so, how would you rate it for the value? Thanks again!

I didn’t attend the luau this trip but I believe you see the ocean. There are better locations for luaus (Royal Hawaiian is great). I did enjoy my time at the luau when I went about 8 years ago!

I always remember this place from probably fifteen years straight of “Hawaii Week” once a year on Wheel of Fortune…always made the place just look UNREAL!! I am curious-you say it’s the biggest Hilton in the World-was it so even back when Hilton still owned both the Las Vegas Hilton and the Flamingo Hilton (both of those had well over 3000 rooms each, but Hilton hasn’t owned either since the mid-2000’s)

HHV has 3,300+ rooms. Honestly the way you cut up the towers you could argue Resorts World is larger but technically those are 3 brands under one roof.

And so I believe this is post Flamingo Hilton so perhaps not “ever” but “currently” and even that’s up to interpretation! Regardless it’s gigantic

How far of a walk would you say it is from the exit to the beach for someone unable to walk far distances?

Maybe 10 yards to the sand but then further depending on tide to the ocean!

Great video. I am trying to decide between coming here or the royal hawaiian. My wife and I are traveling with a 5 year old. Would you recommend this resort or the royal hawaiian?

For me, I think the history of the Royal Hawaiian takes the cake. I felt like the Hilton Hawaiian Village is a bit too busy for my taste. I think you'll like the family pool at Royal Hawaiian a little more. Did you see my video on my channel of the Royal Hawaiian? Stayed there this same trip!

Thanks for the response. That was my thinking as well regarding the royal hawaiian. This will be my first vacation to the island and the royal was the place that caught my eye. Yes i watched that video as well and both places look amazing. Im leaning more towards the royal because of the history and plus the added bonus of the use of the sheraton amenities as well. Love the video...we are considering this place for summer vacation (July) with teen kids. I like that it seems like there is a lot to do. This place seems reasonably prices...any other recommendations?
