Love the video content mate, very informative and well explained. Some of the better Hilux maintenance vids on youtube I've got two Hiluxs KUN26 & TGN16R (Both 07's)

did it and have a bit of play in and out of the axle from the wheel hub after the 4 axle nuts where done up. i think that last collar that goes on needs sit 3 or 4 mm off the abs ring to stop the movment, did anyone have this issue? or any ideas?

Hey mate do all the seals come with the bearing kit?
@foordoffroad8915 Жыл бұрын
Depends what brand you get, need to ask wherever you but it to make sure
@hawko1234 Жыл бұрын
Did u press the abs wheel on to far too??
@foordoffroad8915 Жыл бұрын
Abs seats down on the flare in the axel so you can’t press it too far But you can press the inner collet that runs on the seal too far so need to be carful of that one
@Jack-hx5rp Жыл бұрын
Where did you get that wheel bearing kit and do you have part numbers? Cheers mate. Great vid.
@foordoffroad8915 Жыл бұрын
Just from repco, if I did it again I’d get a genuine kit though Both should be able to give you the right part number using only your rego number There is 2 different size seals and collets

@@foordoffroad8915 Yeha u where saying that haha Mine is none abs Is there a conversion kit Or who’s the best person to talk to Cheers mate
@foordoffroad89152 жыл бұрын
You could probably buy all the bits genuine but really if you want abs better off selling it and buying one with abs, would basically have to re do the entire brake system and have the computer updated to be able to control it Would turn into a huge and expensive job for little gain

@@foordoffroad8915 Yeah man That’s what I was thinking Might just up grade front brakes And drive slower Haha

Don't you have to measure where your previous bearing sat. So when you press your new one on you wont go to far? Or how far do you have to Press it on
@foordoffroad8915 Жыл бұрын
Press the bearing until it bottoms out on the axel Sometimes you do have to measure the collet that runs on the seal to make sure it’s in the right spot
