Had a same instance on solo bike trip to leh,took a 1hr rest ,bike's battery died,phone,'s battery died, it was around 6-8pm,stranded on what road I didnt know..not a single vehicle was passing One thing I knew that if I stayed there after sunset it was game over. Remembered lord Hanuman and started kicking non stop for 30-45min was sweating in minus temperature...finally bike started just before sunset..got on and took off .. Found bike's headlight did not work.. Fortunately after driving for about 2 hour in total darkness using turn indicators/hazard.. found a black Scorpio driving ahead...tailed it and with its tail light's light made the rest 1 hour journey.they understood and drove slowly full 1.5 hour to help. Finally saw a hotel and went in. Life changing experience. Learned what being scared for a long time feels like. Temp. Were so low the blood on my thumb(from trying to start bike)froze,sweat froze, was almost 100pecent sure I would get hypothermia there but kept calm and went on knowing if I stopped for help it would 100 percent be game over Thanks black Scorpio owner❤️❤️

Hame raat 1 baje ke kareeb Spillow ke aas pass samne se headlight dikhi kuch 50 MTR door aur usgadi ka headlight band hua aur driver side ka indicator ek baar blink Kiya.... Hum do logon ne dekha baki teen piche soye huye the... Main co driver seat pe tha aur Jo gadi chala re the unhone gadi left side Kati aur mene unko ekdam Toka aur unhone gadi rok di but uske baad jab hum aage bede to hame koi gadi ni dikhi bro... I have heard strange noises at night while driving uphill on lamayuru road. Next day when I asked a local about it he just smiled and said. Be thankful that you didn't see anyone on the road. Himalayas are full of such stories.

I'm not saying it's true or not, but these types of things occur while you are really exhausted, tired. Last year i was returning from village to my hometown ( went to village because my grandfather's brother died may his soul rest in peace) during the return i was really tired driving continuously and while parking my car ford ecosport in garage i saw someone coming out of the garage in rear view camera then in right side mirror, i didn't reacted much as i thought someone might be opening the door so that it would not touch and scratch the car. But then i realised that i just opened the garage door so how the hell can anyone be inside?? I freaked out, closed the door and rushed to my mother and father and told them everything. The person who i saw was looking like my late grandfather. I don't know what i saw was true or just images forming up in mind. But that's just in front of my house and i freaked out. While going 1000kms away from home on expeditions one must carry firearm and military grade med kit. The government must give proper firearms licence to the explores.

Sir you should share more stories like this you know keeping it raw. I strongly believe that if you believe in a positive energy (that’s God) there has to exist a opposite energy to it. We need to be careful when we travel to new places and also try to learn from locals about the places as well.

Interesting. Folklore and the Himalayas are intertwined. Low oxygen can play tricks with the human mind. Even supremely fit Everesters are not immune. No dearth of space in your vehicles - proper medical oxygen and a licenced satellite phone are good investments….especially on a solo jaunt.

Whether it is true or not, knowing such stories, at least let you know the worst possible in such situation. It is beneficial for getting mentally prepared before hand for such incidents. And it is better to always respect the natural forces and beliefs of the locals. Been there in such kind of situation . And I can totally relate what goes in the head at that time. Only tough minds can tackle such a mental states. Congratulations Dinesh sir you are living on next level.(such situations also make you feel you are alive because of the fear of death.😊)

I carelessly did a jungle hike at late afternoon near thanedar, H.P., all alone and only returned to my guesthouse 1.30 hours after sunset, only to realize it was a BEAR ATTACK PRONE AREA and a bear had KILLED A LOCAL few days prior. i saw BEAR CLAWS AT NUMEROUS SPOTS. IT WAS VERY STUPID OF ME.

Bro i have some suggestions .... Always speak to local When u travelling like in morning over breakfast or in the day when u stop for a tea Break . 2ndly - always avoide driving in Hills in night. There are very spcific rules when pahadi people travell Hills always try to know them and work according to them .

I'm a serious traveler and have actually seen a Baba who was dead for a while, warn me. Had I not slowed down, would have fallen off a half made bridge. This was the Moradabad-Tanda-Rudrapur road. Interestingly, just beyond the bridge, there is a Gurudwara & the sewadars there said its perfectly normal.

I lost in jungle near lonavala while returning from trek.. Google maps works offline . I saw shankar bhagwan temple. On google maps n follow that direction. Dark night raining .. we r walking in mobile torch light.I m with 2 girls n 1 boy I reached near main road at night 9 0 clock . I thank god to reach safely. U know one time one cold brezze come right side that time I understand there is valley on right side. One time we accidentally walk in waterfall thank god we stop we reach whr it falls on ground due to noise I stopped. I think I saved by god.. that 3 hours mentally challenging. No network no light . Several roads u don't know which one to choose.
