@@gummytummy7260 It’s not because I’m a Boruto fan, the reason Himawari would be bad as a main character is there is nothing much to her. She’s cute, got a cool byakugan and that’s about it. If she was the MC of the series the show would be nothing but a slice of life. She’s boring and bland. At least with Boruto you’ve got the whole Otsutsuki plot, him learning how to accept his Dad, his progress as a Ninja, chunin exams, clashing between him and Kawaki. He’s far more interesting as a character than his younger sister. Don’t get me wrong I like Himawari, but as a protagonist she really wouldn’t do a good job.

Himawari is 50/50 of both Naruto and Hinata combined. She has Hinata cuteness and kindness with a tad of insecurities. But she also has her father's confident stubbornness and sense of humor. She is the perfect combination of Uzumaki and Hyuga.

The way she sits with her arms crossed is the same as Naruto, she perfectly embodies half of Hinata and half of Naruto, while Boruto is mostly like Naruto in his looks, besides a few things, and of course he’s not as loud and hyper as Naruto was

He doesn't hear that from his son. Imagine saying his father, the strongest Shinobi and the Hokage as ineffective and a good for nothing. And it's not true that he didn't have time for his kids. Boruto was 5 or 6 when Naruto became Hokage.

@@aleanahsacar4214I mean... Naruto not having time for his kids is a fact, and a fact that he himself acknowledged. Which is why he eventually tried making time for his wife and kids. And if someone only had time for their kids until the kid is age 5 or 6, then that probably means they don't have time for their kids lol, it surely is nothing to brag about. Naruto is a great man, a great Shinobi, but since he had never experienced having a real father (or any family really) that is always there for him, it's no surprise that he eventually struggles to balance between work and family. I think that's the point that the writers are trying to make. That Naruto, even as great as he is, also has flaws, flaws that can be connected to his troubled past, flaws that eventually breaks the trust of his kids towards him. But that flaw is not permanent and can be fixed, as shown with Naruto's actions after he realizes more about his kids feelings.

Best thing about Himawari's kindness that she inherited from Naruto is the way she never judges humans and creatures based on their appearance, like how she always befriends wild animals and never scared of the 'beasts', just like Naruto who is basically the only person in their world who is bestie with all of the tailed beast bcs he sees them as a friend instead of monster
